What Squat rack? - 25 June 2008 22:31
I currently train in my garage, I've got a basic bench but need to buy a squat rack to allow me to progress.

What would people recommend? I have found a couple that may be suitable I'm looking for opinons on those products or alternatives.

http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/store/product.asp?pf%5Fid=Bodymax%5FCF480%5FMulti%5FPress%5FSquat%5FRack&dept%5Fid=27

http://www.bodysolid.co.uk/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=367&ph=&keywords=&recor=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=0

Both of these would allow me use a sturdy bench along with the rack for bench press, so would take up less room in the garage.

Anyone used either of these racks?

Thanks, Stuart.

Mate they are one and the same. From the same blueprints, or what ever you call it. I would buy the cheaper one"!

Personally I think this testicle tenderness is due to my recent return to AM cardio. I do it naked on a recumbent bike and my gonads tend to flop about.

Can you use either rack with 5' standard bars, or is it just for 7' olympic?
