If you were any way a man about it you would accept it and offer to support her. I am completely against abortion, I have seen first hand how well developed a child is at even 10 weeks and it completely changed my views on abortion. I know a girl who has had one and I can honestly say it is something she will regret the rest of her life, she still cries about it quite often and she went through the abortion years ago. To me it just seems a bit selfish to want to end a life simply because you are not responsible enough over your own actions.

I agree with DD, but i cant judge because i know nothing about you, how old are you both? If you have a job and are able to support this girl/child could you not give the baby a life?

Abortion is murder in the eyes of the Lord. Have you had a proper discussion with her about this?

i have to disagree with that above opinions, for many people abortion is absouloutely the right decision. but this is a topic that could very quickly turn sour and get locked so best not to get into it

The only people who can make this decision are the two people involved. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks whether it's right or wrong, moral or immoral, against God will etc. No one else knows the personal circumstances but rest assured the two involved certainly know the mistake they made and are now left with the consequences. no1, both of you go to a family planning clinic or her GP and discuss all options before making a decision. If possible try and talk to people who have been through similar circumstances, eg someone who's had a termination and how it's affected them (positive and negative), and also someone who kept the baby. Think how it will affect you in later life, what happens if it turns out for whatever reason that one of you can't have kids in the future, will you regret having a termination now?

Mate, ignore the people above. Get proper advice starting with your local familly planning centre. They will run you through your options, and let you know the proceedures should you decide to terminate.

ORIGINAL: CJW Abortion is murder in the eyes of the Lord. Have you had a proper discussion with her about this? Religion might well come into it, if they're in any way religious. If they don't believe, I don't think your argument really helps much. GUYS: Can we stop taking the p1ss out of people's deeply-held beliefs, please???

ORIGINAL: CJW Abortion is murder in the eyes of the Lord. Have you had a proper discussion with her about this? Abortion is murder in the eyes of some Christians, not God (if there is one). The word 'abortion' is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. The Bible text that is often quoted referring to abortion is Psalm 139:13-16 which says: "For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for Thou art fearfully wonderful (later texts were changed to read "for I am fearfully and wonderfully made"); wonderful are Thy works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Thy book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them." Although this passage does make the point that God was involved in the creation of this particular human being, it does not state that during the creation the fetus is indeed a person. According to Genesis, God was involved in the creation of every living thing, and yet that doesn't make every living thing a full human person. In other words, just because God was involved in its creation, it does not mean terminating it is the same as murder. It's only murder if a full human person is destroyed. If you really want to get into this you might want to check your facts and come better prepared.

I believe abortion is wrong, but thats my belief and I'm not going to try and inflict that on anyone else. How old are you No1? You sound young mate, don't panic. Just ensure the girl is 100% sure about her decision. If you are not in a relationship with her and don't plan to be in the future, I would say all you can do is support her through the whole process.
