im splitting hairs here, does anyone know of any decent gyms in hampshire near the fareham, wickham, botley region with the actual correct equipment other than the poncy first fitness type gyms, there seems to be no middle ground. When i look the gyms are either absolutely crap (not even having squat racks or power racks no smith machines), and not that cheap. Or they have all the flashiest stuff for a membership fee of merely 500 pounds a year lol

I have just had reconstruction surgery on my right knee, it is imperative that i can get to a gym that has free weights and leg machines as well as squatting facilities, i dont see the point in calling them gyms if a facility does not contain any of these. I have lived in darlington, a gym called penthouse gym only charges 250 a year and has all the free weights and machines concievable (for example 3 smith machines).

All i need to know is the location of the hidden gems like that of penthouse fitness in the fareham, southampton area, any suggestions are much welcomed.

i have heard of a fareham gym called strength tech, i was just wandering what facilities they have such as lateral pulldown machines, rowing machines, and leg machinbes not just free weights which is what they clearly state they have.
