Which Glutamine is most effective? - 27 June 2008 11:47
Which form of glutamine is most effective?

I was looking at the L-Glutamine Ethyl Ester, as it gets absorbed much faster due to the ester attatched but does this REALLY make a difference from the ordinary L-Glutamine???

Which form do you recommend to be the most effective or is there any glutamine products which you may recommend. I was thinking of ordering mine off www.myprotein.co.uk

Ok, so which one...

1. L-glutamine http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/amino-acids/l-glutamine/
2. L-glutamine Ethyl Ester http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/amino-acids/l-glutamine-ethyl-ester-hcl/
3. Glutamine Peptides http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-powders/amino-acids/glutamine-peptides/
GENESIS.

ive tried both and noticed no difference whatsoever, id go for the L-glutamine in future, although if your taking it for muscle recover i would take BCAA's over glutmaine

every time i see "ethyl ester" they swear it makes you absorbe the product 20x faster than normal

you get glutamine ethyl ester and creatine ethyl ester (i don't know if you get anything else with ethyl ester)

yet you ask people if it makes a difference and everyone says it doesn't.

In theory glutamine peptides should be more effective, as it can utilise two separate and independent absorption mechanisms in the gut, therefore mroe will be absorbed. however in practice, the difference in effects would be nigh on impossible to assess.
