Vydex, protein content - 01 July 2008 03:09
Just been looking at the vydex website, why is it their Whey MIlk and Egg Protein blend has such a low protein content per 30 odd gram serving?

That can be explained in the product title " Milk " and Egg protein high content of Milk powder = higher lactose and fat content .. does exactly what it says on the tin

Egg white does , milk does not .. if a product uses whole egg protein and skimmed milk powder then there will be more lacotose and fat than protein , take a look at a carton of milk you will see a low protein content and high carb content thats lactose . this is why most supplements these days are processed Whey and /or CAsein as the lactose is filtered out in varying degrees improving the protein % by volume . Milk and Egg is an old fashioned style protein from years ago but it still can have its place in a bulking diet do not fear carbs and fat if you are trying to add muscle

Thats what I was thinking, Over the years People seem to swear by the milk/egg combo powders for building muscle.

Vydex seem to have some nice looking products. I always think nutrition companies that trade in the animal/vetinary sector. Should have top notch products, as rules and regs are usually so tight around animal products.
