Dissapointing results after cutting. - 05 July 2008 01:22
I've just come off a cut ready for my hols next week but must admit i'm pretty dissapointed with the results especially after a winter of working out, protein shakes and eating better. At the end of my bulk i was happy with the results with gains in mass (tighter fitting clothes), strength increased but after about 8 weeks of upping the cardio and dropping the cals i reduced my b/f (according to my tanita scales) from 18% to 11%, dropped 2 inces off my waist(32-30), lost an inch of my chest and an inch of my upper arm. Strength has kept on increasing or stayed at the same weight.
It seems all that bulk was probably just fat!

Or you could have lost a lot of muscle too.

Something is up, you lost only 2 inches off your waist but a whole inch off your arms? The idea is to lose many inches off the waist and little to no inches off the arms. So it seems like either your cut was poorly done, not losing enough bf and losing too much muscle, OR you have flabby arms and stomach, thus reducing cas leads to fat loss on both parts.

make sure u only have 30 seconds to a minute rest inbetween each set, to build your muscle, any longer and you starting to focus on strength.

i dont think thats true, i take atleast 2 mins rest and i build muscle just fine, focusing on strength has nothing to do with rest time, but more sets and rep

i think You"ll find you are WRONG rest time is everything.
assos if you want muscle most exercises 4x8-12 reps maximum 1 minute rest inbetween try it and youll see the results.
alucard you can still build muscle with 2 mins rest just nt as much with say 30 seconds rest, espicially if you are bulking.
