Flat, decline,incline BP - 05 July 2008 18:48
I seem to be able to handle more on the decline bp (lower chest) than the incline and almost the same as the flat.

I would have though that the flat would be the strongest with the incline and decline being less but similar to each other.

How do others compare?

I have hit a bit of a plateau on the BP. I can do 55 (flat) OK but just cannot conquer the 60kg one. Almost there but struggle to get the weight up from my chest for the first few inches. Is it best to drop weight to say 45 and do 10-12 or stick with the 3*8 that I do now

you need to focus on doing bent over rows, weighted pullups/chinups, heavy dumbell rows e.t.c as you are stuck at the bottom of the lift. this WILL help you explode from the bottom and this will no longer be your sticking point.
age 25
bodyweight 90kg
bench 135k-working on it!!!
squat 150k
deadlift 235k

decline is easiest, least amount of movement so more weight. if want to get stronger at flat bench id do singles or doubles

Thanks for the advice, I have not done that much rows recently so I will put a bit of effort into them.
