Up the omega 3 - 06 July 2008 01:14
The only omega 3 I get in my diet is through caps and at ~6 a day these go quite quickly. Can you buy omega 3 in liquid form so it will last longer? I remember someone mentioning flax seed oil from sainsburys. What's it called and how much is a days supply worth?

Ive been looking for the same thing and at the minute the best thing ive found is http://www.myprotein.co.uk/capsules-...-(strawberry)/ if you get the 500ml bottle.
The dose you get per 5ml works out at about 2 doses a day is the same as 9ish caps
If its your first order you can use MP32093 for 5% off

Whats the general consensus on how much Omega 3 you need? Do you need to take it at certain times of the day or can you get 1 large dose in 1 go?

I think the ideal ratio is 2/1 for Omega 6/Omega3 fatty acids. But I would just try and consume some each day...oily fish such as mackeral is cheap to buy and contains a decent amount if you can eat it. Salmon is nice but can be pricey to eat it everyday.

You can get fish oil in a bottle e.g. http://www.zipvit.co.uk/cgi-bin/vitcart.cgi?return&cartnumber=2888z¤cy=#A216j but it's not the best tasting stuff in the world and it must be kept refrigerated after opening.

If you can't stand the taste of oily fish/fish oil, you can get stronger fish oil caps e.g. http://www.zipvit.co.uk/cgi-bin/vitcart.cgi?return&cartnumber=2888z¤cy=#A316 You only need to take 3 or 4 of these a day.
