What radio station do you listen to? - 06 July 2008 02:30
I have recently found a brilliant station on my freeview. Channel 715, Magic. What a brilliant station. No chat and 100% relaxing and classic tunes.

I have never been into the usual stations like Radio 1 etc. The presenters p8ss me off more than anything.

So, what station do you listen to and can you recommend any good ones?

Radio 1 in the morning for Chris Moyles, and depending on my day either Radio 2 or Radio 4 on the way home .... or Radio 3 if the urge to kill has been rising

Magic. What a brilliant station.

Getting old are we mate?.Join the club.

Good station for mellow relaxing music.

I listen to Planet Rock on DAB at home, and Virgin or Heart at work on the cheap FM radio.

My local town's station now all the time. Good mix of 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's....some of the new chart stuff too but this is mainly by request. No rave, techno, trance bollox in sight either.

I must be getting old
Due to circumstances beyond his control....Neb has left the building

In my old Job diving it was 7-10 Radio 1 Moylesy. 10-1 Talksport Mike Dickin then Ian Collins, stopped listening when that asshole Gaunty took over (what a pr1ck). 1-5 Radio 2, Jeremy Vine was the bollox and Steve Wright show is the best thing ever on radio IMO.. At home its either Virgin or Kiss depending on mood.

Theres an excelent station I listen to out here-Nova 969-the afternoon show is 3 comedians who just take the p*ss of who ever calls in-not the usual DJ wannabe comedians-really take the piss-no barriers

Fat Pete
Radio Manchester on my way to and from work

Is that the old GMR Pete ?

For music I listen to 96.2 The Revolution, great mix of genres and some fine banging tunes.

For current affairs/debates etc I listen to BBC radio Manchester with Allan Beswick, clever guy and gets you thinking about the way you think about things.

Sundays, again BBC radio Manchester with Jimmy Wagg and Eamon O`Neil, very funny little double act, waxing lyrical and silly gags being their forte.

That's the one, Eamon O'Neil and Diane Oxbury have the breakfast slot now, but the best was Heather Stott, Fat Pete sobbed when she moved to later in the day

Beswick is my hero, what a guy

Apart from Scott Mills, I listen to Radio one or Irish 2fm, there is a guy named Gerry Ryan who has a slot from 9 to 12 most mornings and basically he says what he likes, its like a phone in, very funny.
