My postural deficiencies - 07 July 2008 18:59
I do have lordosis, foward head posture, winged scapula and protracted shoulder girdle. I'm a 23 yr old male who stopped practicing at football and swimming schools at the age of 12. I haven't stopped sporting all together, I go for the occasional soccer match and work out every once in a while.

My upper body has a much lower bone density in relation to my lower body, with my torso being shorter also relatively. I read somewhere that the conditions I have can hinder rib cage growth. Anyway I need to know what exercises I should do to correct the deficiencies I have.

Also should I go to an orthopedist or a physical therapist?

I would have thought you would have seen these specialists in the first place? , afterall; who diagnosed you're structural imbalances? , was it you're GP?.

I have been diagnosed with kyphosis (rounding of the upper back) and I swear I have lordosis too, I have a very "S" shaped spine. It has no impact on sport I do.

Yes my GP. I thought of asking in the forum if anyone has had some of these conditions and did corrective exercises before seeing a PT.
