Bulk/ cut, bulk/cut or keep bulking then cut?

OK Things have been going pretty well on the gains front..less my ab tear..(see journal), but I am after a bit of advice. I was 13st.5lbs 19%BF 6'2" 6 months ago...Currently 14st.8lbs BF24 aiming to get to around 15 st5lbs (or there abouts) with a BF of 12-15%. I have managed to put on a fair whack of muscle while bulking, but unfortnately as always a fair bit of fat. I was wondering should I bulk up to around 16st then go on a cut to try to get to my target weight or cut now and bulk again, not sure of the best way to get to my target weight and BF. (just got a bit fed up with flabby abs to be honest ! ) Any help greatly appreciated diet link http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_2817252/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2817252

adjust your diet mate so you keep your gains lean as possible, through in a lil cardio here and there and ctrack on, no sense cutting now to bulk again and cut again get to 16 get diet nailed maybe use some EPI and cut down 10 15 lbs would do wonders

Ironmansub10BMI, Thanks mate, Do you think I should cut down by around 200-500 cals or thereabouts? And would it be worth using EPI at the end of my bulk (i.e. when I start the slippery slope of cutting ) or now to get theoretical lean gains whiles bulking? Cheers

If you are already 24% and want to put on an extra 20lbs to reach 16 st your bf will probably be high 20's-30s. Meaning then if you cut to your target weight you are hoping to lose 15%ish body fat with only a 9lb loss in weight; thats not going to happen. If I was you I would cut down a bit to a similar bf level as you started and see how much lbm you have gained. If its a substantial amount do what you did again until you reach your desired weight and bodyfat, if not you need to re think your diet and training maybe.

Nice one Reg*, I have started upping my cardio as much as I hate doing it, but it is the only way I seem to shed fat without losing muscle quickly. I have also tweeked my diet a little to see if that helps, so far I seem to have more energy so it must be good.

looking back, i wish i had cut down first to around 10% bf and then built up my weight slowly. I was about 12 - 13 stone before starting weights as im 6'2 aswel but quite broad. i just piled on the weight over the years whilst training and went up to 18 stone, using AAS. i wish i had just cut my bf down and built slowly rather than doing a big bulk and now im paying for it!
