Atkins diet query
-

Hi guys thinking of running this diet for a while. Can anyone assist with regards the rules of the diet and the foods you can and cannot eat? From what I have found out you have to restrict bread, potatoes, rice, cereals, milk and veg, I believe?.... and you can eat as much chicken, steak, sausages, bacon, eggs and even cheese as you want? Appreciate any thoughts or help

If you plan to do any kind of workouts, a Standard Ketogenic Diet (i.e. Atkins) is not the diet for you. SKDs are for people who sit on their bums most of the time. Search for "Targeted Ketogenic Diet" or "Cyclical Ketogenic Diet". Whatever diet you choose, you can't eat as much as you want. Calories Still Count (even on Atkins).

I plan to go to the gym 3-4 times a week as normal just doing cardio (for now) and thought by implemening something like a dr atkins (low carb) diet then this would help strip fat quicker??
