What should I be eating?
-
10 July 2008 22:40
hey, some of you may have read my previous newbie posts and I just really want some dietary advice on what I should be eating. Everyone seems to have set diet routines depending on their objectives but my objectives almost seem contradictory! as i say im new to all this, and just of medium build. if you asked anyone they wouldnt say ive ot fat. but I've got ''squidge'' basically that I dont want where back love handles would be, not protuding but I want them gone, ideally i'd like to lose a few pounds of fat. but want to put muscle on too. at the moment, im going to the gym two days on, one day off, but working X muscles on day 1 and Y muscles on day to, so each group gets a rest, so thats a total of 5 days a week working out. at the moment, I just seem to be eating healthy, balanced and high protein. lots of tuna, sardines, grilled skinless chicken, and as carbs, wholemeal bread, porrdige oats, brown rice, and occasional pieces of fruit. as well as Garnell Nutrition Performance protein shake morning, evening and post work-out I jsut want advice on what I should be eating, calorific intake, amount of protein: carb ratio, to keep msucle but maybe cut the last bit of fat atm 5'10 and 161lbs thanks a lot for any help! Max

Hullo, welcome to MT. It sounds like you know good food choices from bad ones- it's mostly a case of portion control and monitoring progress to get where you want to go. There's a good plan here for your goals, you'll have to adapt it to yourself depending on what progress you make tho... http://www.mealplansite.com/sports-bodybuilding-lose-fat.aspx
