pain in shoulder - 11 July 2008 17:50
ive had a crunchy right shoulder for a while... when you move it, it makes like a crunching sound, never hurt that much... but now my left has started doing it, and after training the other day my left shoulder blade is really warm and hurts if i try to pick weight up and push it above my head... shoulder press im ok with but if i do it with a dumbell its agony, like a pinching pain... any ideas? could this be a nerve trapped or maybe just pinched? or is it muscular as its warm?

ive had achy shoulder blades for a while now... a hard massage normally helps a bit but by the next day they ache again.

Go to your GP, then maybe a Sports Injury specialist / physio.

In the mean time, rest, and dont do anything that makes it worse.

Ice might help at the moment. 10-15minutes of ice, then off for an hour or so. And repeat.

find a good sports massage clinic like stuart cosgroves place. you need to get this checked out properly, you really dont want to risk screwing your shoulders up as recovery will be a right bugger. it could mean surgeey, physio or maybe if you leave it it will be too late to do anything.

My right was the same. Lead to rotator damage and a good two months out, then rehab. Not nice.

Stop training and go get it checked out. No point trying to train through something and getting two extra weeks out of it when it could potentially put you out for months...
