My alcohol consumption this weekend. - 13 July 2008 21:53
Since Friday night i have drunk 12 cans of Heiniken and 2 bottles of Famous Grouse Whisky.

I am shocked and ashamed of this as i have been doing so well on cutting down drinking.

I have to get back on track tommorrow. At this moment of time i feel well p1ssed.I am a binge drinker, always have been.Just had a bad weekend this one.

I spent near £200 on drink this past week.

Well started Tuesday night, carried on untill about 5/6 this morning.

48 cans from tesco. Local pub twice. Town last night.

Such a waste of hard earned. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Im by no-means big and dont lift as much as I should, but isnt the amount yous are talking about here is (even by Irish standards ) excessive to the point where you could drop at any minute with the stress on your liver, kidneys etc if you are lifting ?

Your body kind of gets used to it mate. Binges are obviously never good but in the height of my drinking I could neck 18 cans and it would hardly touch me. That is when you know it is time to stop

No John.Just have a real problem getting through the weekend sober if i am not working. When i am working i am okay and don't drink. At the moment we have cut down on overtime due to the lull in the building trade.

Sorry to hear you've had a bad one Galenkia mate

My weekend has been normal up until today. 40 units Friday, 40 units Saturday, my usual 40 per day thing

However now it is Sunday, and instead of drinking 40 units, I will drink nothing. To be honest, I'm sh'tting myself a bit! I have already had some valium, so that is some comfort

alcohol consumption - 13 July 2008 22:20
Since gaining a bit of size alcohol doesn't hit me as much as before on Saturday night I had around 8 pints of Stella various double vodkas with mixers and remember drinking from 2 smirnoffs and then shotgunnning 2 vk cheries

And wasn't completely leathered made my own way home and got myself to bed

Its costly though, and this isn't something I do weekly forget it now mate onwards and upwards

Cheers mate

AA isn't really helping TBH. The people there are all very nice, seriously a nice bunch of people, but my attendance has had no effect on my drinking. Maybe I need to go more often (I only go once a week at the minute)

Plenty of help out there and also apart from the usual cock fighting, plenty of help in here for those who need advice, Cardifflad why dont you lift again, im 40 and really only doing it correctly now, im sure you would have the perfect base from which to re-start.
