buying a dishwasher. - 15 July 2008 00:21
so i worked out that overall i spend about 30 mins a day doing the dishes etc.

Over a year this works out at just over a week stood at the sink non stop. I could regain this time with the aid of a dishwasher for a couple of hundred quid.

Anyone got a dishwasher? do they do the job well? would you recommend getting one?

yes i have a dishwasher, they do the job very well on the whole, dont cost much to run, and are very convenient.

they use only a small amount of water.

it could also be argued that they produce much cleaner dishes in terms of germs etc, as the temperatures are much higher than water you can physicallly stand to wash pots in

I've got one and it doesn't seem to cost much to run. Although saying that I only use it 4 times a wk tops.

Dishwasher tablets do cost alot more than good old Fairy washing up liquid though mate

I couldn't live without mine - i do more or less wash everythign before I put it in though

It gets everything super clean and also dries everything so no tea towel action.
