Tesco, up from 69p to 79p at tub!!! Thats helluva increase.

Im fed up.

Lidl is the way forward. Some of their stuff is quite ropey but most of it is good quality german food!

nah.. bit skint atm so using them as my main protein source, will freeze some but will use most by the use by date

strangely the smart price stuff contains less fat than the "good for you" one

0.2% fat compared to 2%

Yes mate.Pasta in Sainsburys has gone through the roof.As has rice.I now buy Sainsurys Basics pasta.19p for 500g and it tastes just the same.

If only the same could be said for Basics rice.

quark in tesco went up last week too from 40p to 65p!!!
its horrid..
wholewheat pasta used to be 3 bags of 500g fusilli pasta for 99p, 3 weeks ago i checked and it was 79 p a bag, now gone up to over £1.20!!!!!! cant believe it!!!

I did a full shop last night and I thought I had been very modest in the food I bought. Enough to last a standard week and nothing that stood out as a luxury expense. I noticed for the first time just how much food has gone up in price by. I'm deinitely adding a good £6-7 per week to my shopping bill. Everything is just that little more expensive from fish to milk to cereals. It all adds up when you consider the increase in other household bills as well.
I admire many people for how they live their lives But the people I admire the most are those people who refuse to give up.
