Reggae Reggae Sauce?
-
16 July 2008 16:22
Well, I just plodded my way round the local supermarket to buy some of this stuff, my immediate reaction was that it was really nice, exactly the type of spicy sauce I wanted to take the bland taste away from some of my daily meals, though now, looking at the back, it seemed like a lot of sugar to me, I'll edit and post them up later, but if anyone already knows the ingredients or has some themselves, could they tell me if would be fine to have a little bit of this to take the taste away, or is it simply too high in sugar? I'll really only be having a bit of this stuff for one of my five meals a day.

I'm sure it's fine in moderation, I woudn't worry about it. Funny actually, I was watching a repeat of Dragons Den the other night and it was the one with Levi Roots in it and his Reggae Reggae Sauce. Oh how I laughed when most of the Dragons said it would never take off and he'd never get it into the supermarket! ...but good old Peter Jones and Richard Farley (I think it was him) decided to 'take a punt' on him

I find it too sweet. There are better alternatives to be had in my opinion.

this stuff is the best. i marinated some chicken with some reagge reagge sauce. put in george forman this morning for work. hhhmmm! it really takes away the blandness of just normal chicken. with a bit of branson's jelapeno and chilli relish its the best. good for cutting aswell. marinade only takes a little sauce and you only need a little relish to put on top!
This years aim: improve my muay thai!!!
