Todays Chest and Tri routine. Comments? - 16 July 2008 22:20
I don't usually stick to a specific routine per say, but I've made a more conscious effort to do so recently. Plus pay more attention to the clock in between sets, as sometimes my mind wonders and I've been resting for 2 mins or so betweeen sets lol.

Today I did the following.

Bench Press 3x10
Incline Press 3x10
Dips 3x10
Incline DB Fly 3x10
Decline Bench 3x10

Triceps:
Rope handle cable pull downs 3X10
EZ bar cable pull downs reverse grip 3x10
Narrow end of Vbar dips 3x10
Skull Crushers 3X10
Close hand EZ bar press 3x10
Kickbacks(?) 3x10

Last set is usually a drop set. And not included is my warmup sets which go for about 20 reps light weight.

10 mins HIIT at the end and 5mins bag work (martial arts)

What do people think? Worth sticking to as a routine? Too many tri excersises? I did wear them out so by the time I was at the skull crushers, it was damn hard.

Hope to hear,
RT

Jesus overkill far to many exercises and sets.

For Large body parts like Chest dont go over 12 - 15 sets in total

For small body parts like Triceps dont go over 8 - 10 sets in total

THIS MUST BE THE WORSE ROUTINE I HAVE EVER SEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If yu wanted to do chest/ tris together. do something like:

bench press
incline
dips

skull crushers

FARRRR TOOOOO MANY EXCERCISES !!!!!!! WAYYYY TOOO MUCH VOLUME MAN LOL.

Thats all you need! You triceps would be used through the chest workout anyway! so by having skullcrushers at the end, if you have worked out har enough, you should be able to kill the triceps!

Well thats what I come here for lol.

Cheers guys.

So If I go by the above routine how many set should I go with?

Going by the previos poster I'm thinking 4 sets each?

Only thing is I'll be out of the gym in no time at all. Guess I can increase cardio, that'd help me shed more fat no doubt :) WIN WIN
