Dodgy left ankle :(
-
17 July 2008 10:51
Hi guys, Need someones advice. I was playing footie on saturday morning and the back of my left ankle felt really tight, I had done plenty of stretching but it still felt weird. I played for about 3 hours then when I finished I noticed that the tightness had gone but it felt weak and tingly. It was ok for a few days then I went to taekwondo and was running round on a wooden floor in bare feet and it started feeling tight and it went really sore again. I continued training and then rested it when i got home but the following day it was really sore to the point I couldnt move it. I can walk on it now and it doesnt feel like its broke or that I tore anything in there but just wondering wot it cud be and wot i can do to prevent it in the future. Thanks! Steve

Steve sounds like my girl friend, she twisted hers, and was dodgy like that for years till she met me then i made her go the docs and he sent her to pshyio, 6 weeks of that, and she been doing the excises and stretchs they showed her for about another month and she back to normal

i've a dodgy right ankle after a bad motorcycle accident. It likes to seize up now and again after standing too long or long walks. it might be damaged ligaments, who knows until you see a doc what association are you with TKD wise? WTF,ITF,ATA,ITA

WTF mate. I train twice a week with the Dorset Taekwondo club. Good bunch and gave me something to focus on other than the gym when my ex dumped me a few months back. Nothin like kickin people really hard to get over someone lol I think it could be my achillies that has just been pulled. Feels ok today *touch wood* so might be on the mend!

My right ankle is going the same way now. Its almost like the heel that is causing the issues and not the actual muscles around it. Any thoughts?
