Red Yeast Rice % Extract - 17 July 2008 11:53
Hi,

Trying to get some RYR in powder form so I can mix it withe some other stuff and then cap them. Think I have found a source to get hold of the powder but his supplier is asking at what extract, he was quoted <2, 3, 4% extracts>

Can anyone help/advise.

What extract do you get when you purchase RYR in capsule form..

Any ideas please.

Assuming you're using this for reducing cholesterol levels your looking for a standardised extract of Lovastatin.

Adjust the dose according to the extract you buy.

You should consider supplementing concurrently with CoQ10 or its analogue Idebenone.

Thanks for the info...

Yep, the plan was to use this as part of the supplementation in the next cycle I am thinking about taking (SD) yes to help with the cholesterol levels.

You know whats it like with all those pills you have to down so I try and buy in powder form and capp. So with the RYR was going to capp with Idebenone, still not sure about what dose but it seems that everyone recommends 1200mg/60mg <-> RYR/CoQ10(Idebenone).

Will do a little research on the "standardised extract of Lovastatin" and see if it sheds some light for me.

Thanks again mate, mucho helpo.

Well for your reference, we use 1200mg of Red Yeast Rice and 100mg of Idebenone in our product so they may be good levels to aim for.

Thanks JMA.

Doing some research, it looks that the Idebenone is the better product to use, so just goes to enhance what people say about the GE products on the forum - they use good quality ingredients.

Spot on..

Can I ask you a question about Cycle Insurance. It looks like that you use Idebenone (which is great quality), but what about the RYR - can I ask what % extract (Lovastatin) you use.

Thanks
