Generic "help a n00b eat right" thread - 18 July 2008 11:53
Hi guys after posting in another section enquiring about weight loss drugs I received a stern telling off for my crap diet and directed here.
Any dietary advice would be gratefully received.
Im 5foot 8 and 75kg roughly and not lean at all

diet is roughly as follows these days
Breakfast: Good sized bowl of cornflakes with semi skm and a small glass of pure orange
Lunch: An average sandwich, probably chicken salad maybe ham salad sometimes white sometimes brown bread
Snack Apple and/or packet of Mccoys crisps(I'm allowed 180 bad kcals a day IMO lol)
Dinner: Varies obviously but reasonably balanced, fast food probably 3 times a month no more
Supper? Rarely a chocolate chip cookie but not every night and nothing drastic

Supplements: Only on training days: Gaspari cell maximiser or something similar (its a creatine mix) during workout
Reflex one stop after workout

So obviously it's far from perfect and I'd like some advice on how I can shift a good bit of flab without losing all of the muscle I've built up over the past two months.

2 footnotes....I am buying porridge today (haven't eaten it since I was a child) to become breakfast
I don't like tuna, I know you guys live off the stuff but I just can't do it lol
As above I'd be very grateful for any advice at all

Well I'm 75kg but it's not the weight figure that bothers me, if I were 80kg but lean that'd be great.
You would almost think I had cushing's disease lol all my fat gathers around my waist, I've tiny legs and arms with a fat waist relatively speaking.
I'm 34inch round the middle ATM and I guess I'd like to get down to 31/32 inchs or alternatively just even get lean enough to see the outline of rectus abdominus or obliques.
Edit: Other goals from a strength point of view are increase my 8rm bench to 80kg, currently on 65kg
increase 8rm curl to 40kg currently on 30kg increase 8rm squat to 150kg currently on 120!
