Williams-Mcdermott SPOILER - 18 July 2008 20:42
I can't believe that this fight, held at Goresbrook leisure centre in Dagenham. Is not only for Danny's British title but is also an unofficial eliminator for Sam Peter's WBC title. I have always liked Danny and when he brings his A game is very capable but how have these two guys qualified to be in this position for a shot at a world title?

Just shows how sh8te the heavyweight division is. I am not making any attempt to watch this tonight but will be interested in the result, probably for comedy value

Expensive ticket prices!! Mcdermott won it for me. I think Williams is a nice guy but when his excuses for not performing was he was eating too many mr kipling cakes kind of sums him up

No excuses for not beating a useless sack of ****e like McDermott quite handily when one has world title aspirations.

All relative speaking before anyone gets on their high horse.

Well, it was a bit better than I expected lol and there was a few surprise moments too. Fair play to Williams surviving and not going down coz he was out on his feet. Thought the ref was a little harsh deducting 3 points, but how the hell did one judge make it a draw and two gave it to Danny?

McDermott was robbed. Suppose when you leave it in the hands of the judges it can go any way. Dr Klitschco would beat williams with ease

Williams was the one pressing the action so I can see why he was given more rounds than McDermott who didnt really do much bar the 5th.

I thought McDermott done enough to win, specially with 3 points given to him, both nice guys tho, but a bit boring to watch,
I asked Johnny Nelson what was his score at the end of the 10th, and he had Williams up by 1 round. then McDermott got 3 points after that...........
