Nutrisport 90 V's Reflex whey - 23 July 2008 20:49
I was thinking about bulk buying to save some money, been looking on ebay and can get either 20lbs of reflex whey for £107 or 15kg of nutrisport 90 whey for £138 plus creatine and mxer inc delivery.

Which do you think is the best buy, I dont beleive Ive tried whey islate before.

Thanks

90+ is a superior mix IMO, and what I use exclusively now

A lot of people seem to be using this 90+ stuff

May have to give it a whirl. Less than £9 a kilo as well

Don't suppose anyone know's the ratio of whey:casein?

Very good stuff. Incredibly cheap too!
33% casein, 66% whey. (which is a decent ratio IMO)

Thankyou. Which of the flavours have you tried (if any)?

Chocolate, thats all. I would recommend it highly, and it seems vanilla flavour has some bad reviews.
Tbh it's not amazing tasting but you can neck it without a problem.

RE: Nutrisport 90 V's Reflex whey - 24 July 2008 07:34
I can quite honestly say that i had had some seriously foul 90+
The vanilla was disgusting (this is usually my favourite flavour!)
I had some strawberry that had gone rancid or something! It required twice the volume of water to make it mix and the taste reminded me of vomit!A friend had exactly the same with his bucket of strawberry!
It was by far the most revolting taste Ive ever known.
After that I vowed never to touch the stuff again!
There was a thread on it a while ago.
I also do not understand how anyone could test the levels of the contents without spending big bucks.
A friend of mine (the other guy with the rancid tasting stuff) asked for the batch test papers to check the protein content and miraculously never got to see them!
I was sold raspberry isolate which i liked the taste of however after using it for several weeks i ring to order more and the girl on the phone told me thay had never made a raspberry isolate!
I had been paying through the nose for concentrate/caseinate blend relabelled as an isolate!

I have also found what I can describe as things that resembled chewed up fag butts in the mix on one occassion!

I know where I stand with reflex and i will stick to using it.
It mixes well, tastes great,I know what I'm getting for my money and i dont have fag butts in it or pay an isolate price to recieve a cheap blend mislabelled to bull**** me into believing its something it isnt!!

Reflex for me matey...no doubt about it!

Ive tried them all over the years and chocolate flavour is by the best IMO.

After reading many reviews, I tried the chocolate 90+ and was slightly disappointed with the falvour. I think FBG sums it up well.

I'm keen to try the stawberry one, despite the review above likening it to vomit!

Had the strawberry 90+ whey, the worst whey i've ever had, it did'nt mix at all and it tasted like Cra*. I managed to get through about a kilo of the stuff and threw it out.

The stats look good on it, and i've heard very mixed reviews, just my opinion but i think its dodgy stuff, apparently is varies massively from batch to batch.....which can't be good for taste/quality/protein content etc....

give it a try if you like, reports suggest the choc is managable, but you pay for what you get (or dont get) IMO

I'm looking at the ingredients and I can't actually figure out how the protein content is 90%....something doesn't add up

So you wouldn't recommend buying a 5 kilo tub of strawberry without trying it first?

Tried it a while back. Binned it.
Kind of like gritty dishwater
Switched to reflex. Using All in One unfravoured + nesquik at the moment.

definately not mate, got a few of my mates to try it and they also comfirmed it tasted foul, it just didnt seem right, it was like it had been cut with flour or some other rubbish but it was sealed when i got it.

Even if you can stomach it you will waste half of it as atleast half of each scoop becomes this really thick horrible powder stuff that sticks to the bottom of your shaker, does this even when mixed/blended.

they use pea fibre which is why it tastes gritty i think.
