Looking to get away for a bit with a few mates and was just wondering if you can get away with booking an apartment to sleep 6 but more of you actually staying there without letting the owner know (say 8). We won't mind sleeping on sofas etc.

My only experience with an apartment was last year with a friend and his family, we stayed in one and the owner basically met us took us to the apartment gave us the keys and left. For all he knew we could have had another 4 people waiting in a bar to come when he left.

So , good idea to save some £££?

Dont really see the point tbh, you wont save much money on splitting a 6 berth villa 8 ways. You might save a bit but not worth the risk of getting caught. Id doubt you'd get caught anyway, even if someone found extra bodies you could just say it was people you met who crashed over for a night. Wouldnt bother imo anyway.
