Hiya T-Bone123, Thanks for the question. My diet is not bad but then I am an "ANGEL"!!!! Actually my halo is strangling me at this precise moment as I've been out with friends and I've just committed a cardinal sin and demolished a "Keebab". I used to be a complete carbs junkie and eat loads of bread, pasta, rice etc but for I've cut down on my carbs and increased my protein alot over the last six months. Because my job involves me doing lots of cardio stuff I still need the carbs but I try to go for Low G.I. foods and I also try to stick to the Carb Curfew as recommended by Joanna Hall, Fitness and Diet Expert, which means no carbs after 6pm. It's not always easy, as the exercise classes I instruct make me ravanous. I eat massses of vegetables and some fruit, I used to eat truck loads of fruit but I've cut down on that too because of the sugar. I have lots of protein in the form of Tuna, Tuna Steaks, Chicken, Salmon, Mackeral, Trout and Tofu. I was a Vegetarian for 6 years so I find it quite hard to eat red meat but I eat some for iron and Vitamin B12. I drink some milk but I also use soya milk in hot drinks etc as I find too much normal milk aggrevates my asthma. I use whey protein powder, which I started on about 6 months ago. I have one scoop with Breakfast and one scoop post workout. If I have bad DOMS or I've done a ridiculous amount of exercise I have one scoop before bed too. I drink about 3 litres of water a day and I take the following supplements:- Multi-vitamins and Minerals, Cod Liver Oil, Co Enzyme 10 (ENERGY SPARK PLUG,gives me more energy for all my exercise), Evening Primrose OIL (for my PMT), Garlic Oil (as there is a history of heart disease in my family) and CLA (To reduce my body-fat hopefully). I do probably rattle when I walk. lol. A typical days diet would probably look like this:- Porridge Wholemeal toast/eggs Banana grapes Chicken, Broccoli, Cabbage, carrots, potato, parsnips protein bar/cereal bar/Flapjack Salmon Salad and pasta (before 5pm) yoghurts IF I HAVE EXERCISE CLASSES TO INSTRUCT LATE EVENING I WOULD PROBABLY HAVE SOME OTHER SNACKS BEFORE SUCH AS:- CHICKEN PIECES DRIED APRICOTS MIXED DRIED FRUIT I don't like chocolate, cakes, biscuits, pies, burgers etc but I do have a weakness for pizza, Chinese Takeaways and Indian Currys. You have to have some vices! If you have any diet suggetions I'd like to hear them.

Milk aggrevates my asthma at times too. Your diet looks good but it's tough to tell without rough times included too. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the encouragement Boxer. I ussually eat every two hours. I have breakfast at about 7am. I do have quite a large appetitie for a woman. If I didn't train I'd be obese for sure. I weigh about 57kg at the moment.

FRIDAYS WORKOUT LOOKED LIKE THIS:- PULL UPS 3 sets x 6, 5, 3 ONE ARM ROWS 3 x 10 reps 14kg 60o INCLINE BICEP CURLS 3 x 8 reps 7kg God, what a weed!!!! 7kg bicep curls is appalling but it is quite hard in that 60o incline position. I must say I find pull ups really hard too, but I am slowly improving. Wait till this time next year I shall be doing weighted pullups!

SUMO DEADLIFTS 3 x 6, 1 x 5 60kg SINGLE LEG GOOD MORNINGS 2 x 8 25kg SWISS BALL LEG CURLS (superset) So I can deadlift more than my own bodyweight. SLGMs are a bit of a killer. It's the balance thing that makes it so difficult. The ball curls sound and look easy but they really blast the hamstrings. They hurt!!!! They hurt alot more than the leg curl machine.

AD, the SLGMs - do you actually balance on one leg, or have one in front of the other, or what? Anything to hit the hams, i need it! Ditto DG's q aswell.

It's a hip extension and a leg curl. You lie on your back with your heels on the swiss ball, raising the hips off the floor, you are supported on your shoulder area. You draw the ball towards you in this position making sure you keep the hips in extension and thighs in line with the torso. This exercise heavily loads the hamstrings. They are screeming at you by the end of it!

I do them standing on one leg with the other leg raised and behind at a 90o angle. I assume because I work on my core stability alot I can balance in this position fairly well. I would imagine your balance is a lot better than mine, being a gymnast, so you would probably find this relatively easy. Like you I'm very flexible and I find it hard to target the hamstrings. I think this exercise supersetted with the ball leg curl hits the part some other exercises don't reach.

the mechanics of it are pretty similar to a glute ham raise.

Try supersets with the hip extension ball curl and the SLGM that may hit your hamstrings. I know what you mean tho, I find it much easier to fatigue the quads than the hamstrings.

Having my arms out to 45deg each side helped, but I think it's an exercise that needs to be 'learnt' before you can get the best from it; I had to stop (as I couldn't remain stable) before my hamstrings gave out!
Good effort dg. You and I are "Hardcore Lifters!!!! [:p]"

CHEST, DELTS, TRICEPS. DIPS 3 x 7, 6, 6. BALL DB CHEST PRESS X 10reps 9KG, 10KG SUPERSET WITH BALL DB FLIES X 10 8KG, 9KG X 8 DB SHOULDER PRESS 2 X 9KG JM PRESS 2 x 9 and 8 reps. 10kg on the bar but I think the EZ Bar weighs 7kg This work out may look a bit unbalanced. It may seem odd that I can shoulder press 9kg yet I can only chest press 9kg too, as the pecs should be alot stronger than the deltoids. When I do bench press I lift 30kg, but because the ball is an unstable surface I can't push more than about 10kg and balance and keep the core switched on. This is the first time I've done JM presses which is a cross between a skull crusher and incline bench press. They give the triceps a good blast. I can particularly feel it in the left tricep for some unknown reason.
