I've found the jargon directory useful and think it's a great post, but there are a couple of abbreviations I can't find on there that have me a little stumped. On some of the other forums I keep coming across the abbrevs "IMO" and "PCT" - Any idea what they mean in lay mans terms?!

IMO is short for ,in my opinion, not really a training term, more an MT (muscletalk) term. PCT stands for post cycle therapy. This refers to the post cycle drug therapy a steroid/prohormone user would use following a cycle.

Do any of you guys know what IMAO and PMSL are abbreviations of? Keep coming across them on various MT forums! IMAO I suppose is something similar to "in my opinion" but PMSL???? No idea!

IMAO - I think you have confused the following 2 abbreviations: LMAO - Laughing my ass off IMHO - In my honest opinion PMSL - Pissing myself laughing! ROFPMSL - Rolling on floor pissing myself laughing

"DOMS: This stands for Delayed Onset Muscle soreness, and decribes the discomfort often experienced around 24-48hrs after training in a particular muscle group. It is thought to be caused by tiny tears in the muscle tissue. It is wrongly used by many as a guide to an efficient workout. " Right im learning. I have always thought that it was a sign of a good hard work out aswell.. If I work legs on a Sunday....... Monday I walk a bit funnyand my thighs are sore.. Tuesday if the wife sits on my lap then im through the roof Same with my chest running down some stairs 2 days after training chest is so painfull I have to cup them like a bra lol. My legs respond very well and have always grown well, But my chest is my weakest body part in size aswell as strength. Please explain.. cheers

you could also throw in some links to exercises, as beginners would have no idea what the diff between a hack squat and an overhead squat is.
