thanks alot fella, yeah there's a few in the link below

edit : the marcy pro benches are good and solid, inc/dec aswell. got one myself, never used the decline though

http://www.gymworld.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=214 that's the one, you might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere though, you can raise the rack and use it as like a walk in squat rack...no more liftin it over your head!

Thanks for the link sabbeth, but I'm looking for something more on the lines of....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7200668119&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

or....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7202021938&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I've seen benches the same as the one you have on ebay for around £100 not inc P&P (round a tenner I think). I was thinking about getting one at first, but then I came accross the plans for a homemade cage and I'd rather have a separate cage and a bench that I could easily slide inside.

I've got a feeling though, that the garage ain't gonna be finished for some time. It just keeps getting put off and prolonged which is a right royal pain in the gluteus maximus!

Can't wait to stop having to lift it over my head.

Its week 12 of b u l k i n g , 3 months in and every month I've decided to grab the tape measure and see how much I've grown!

Start week: The beginning (5th Sept 05).

Weight: 57kg (9 stone)
Waist = 29.5 inches
Chest = 35.5 inches
Thighs = 18.25 inches
Biceps = 12 inches

Week 4: (first month in & forgot to measure!)

Week 8: (2nd month in)

Weight = 66.5kg
Waist = 31 inches
Chest = 38 inches
Thighs = 21 inches
Biceps = 13 inches

Week 12: (3rd month in - 5th Dec 05)

Weight = 72.75kg
Waist = 31 inches
Chest = 40.25 inches
Thighs = 22.5 inches
Biceps = 14 inches

Been looking foward to today for ages and I'm pleased with the gains I've made so far. Have gained some fat but somehow managing to stay quite lean. All in all v pleased and can't wait till next month!

Monday 5th Dec

Warm up: Stretch, 8 reps light squats at 45 & press ups.

Squats - 5x5 = 55, 59, 62, 64 (8 reps! Ohh yeh, can he do anotha? ), 65 Haaah-lelooya!! (10 reps, ASS to the GRASS baby!!) Ooo yehh!!!
Deadlifts - 5x5 = 75, 80, 85, 88, 90
Bench Press - 5x5 = 65, 65, 65, 65 (4 reps), 65 (4 reps) - BUGGER!!
Incline DB Press (2 @ 16KG) = 12, 12, 12

Great workout, best yet. not just cos of the PB weights, but bcos it just went so well with no major feck ups like last Friday. Squats, went swimmingly and the music I was listeneing to really helped me to shift that 65kg up and over my head (Nas - I can, from "God Son" album. Brilliant CD). Gave me great confindence and I repeated that 1 track about 4 times whilst squatting!
Deadlifts and benches went really well too. At 90kg, my grip was starting to go and the bar was right on the tips of my fingers! I think some grip work will be required soon! So close to completing 5x5 at 65kg on benches but just couldn't squeeze out one more rep on sets 4 & 5. Incline DB press finished me off nicely, especially after benching!
Well chuffed this week.

Nahh, not really Sabbeth. I've kept covered up. In the summer when I rip my top off on the beach or sommin, then a lot of people will notice my arms!!!

EDIT: Wow, that turned out larger than expected! Sorry if I've messed anything up for anyone viewing this.

Wednesday 7th Dec

Warm up: Stretch, press-ups & 8 reps light DB lunges at 32kg.

DB Lunges 4x8 each leg @ 40kg - 8, 8, 8, 8
Good mornings 3x8-12 reps - 40kg (8), 40 (8), 43 (8) & 45 (8) for good measure.
Dips (weighted, rucksack with 4kg - 4x12) - 12, 8, 8, 7
Pullups - 4 x max - 8, 4, 4.5, 6

Lunges, ohh my christ! These always knacker me right out. Did these much slower, with more control and paused for sec at the bottom. By the end of the 4th set I was finding it difficult to push back up, but did. Good morns, were better than last week too, upped by 5kg. Painful, but satisfied. Dips, really starting to enjoy. Tried with 4kg in my old Jansport school rucksack as a start weight and didn't do too badley. Will stick with the same next week and try to get all 4x12. Pulls were a little better too than last week. Did less reps, but went near enough right to the bottom of each movement. Felt better and can feel DOMS starting already, esp in legs. Good workout though, off now to get some grub!

Lunges

Friday 9th Dec

Warm up: Stretch, 8 reps light squats at 45 & press ups.

Squats - 5x5 - @ 59, 62, 64, 65, 67.5 (10 reps )
Bent over BB row - 5x5 - @ 45, 48, 50, 50, 50
Bench - 5x5 - @ 65, 65, 65 (4.75 reps!), 65, 65 (3 reps)
Skulls (decline, ez bar) - 3x12-20 - 10 @ 25kg, 10 @ 25kg, 10 @ 25kg

+ bench to failure with ez bar @ 25kg, bout 20 reps I think.

Another top sesh. Squats, I topped Mondays effort by 2.5kg, managing to get 67.5kg over my head, nearly smashing my sound system! Rows, are getting better and got 50 again, but with better form, touching my chest on most reps. Bench, so bloody close again to completing all 5x5 at 65. On the 3rd set all I had to do was up another 2 inches and I would have done it, but I just couldn't get it up! The 5th set was just so damn hard. Skulls, I managed to get 3 x 10 @ 25kg, which was better than last weeks 3 x 8 @ 25 and to top it all off I jumped back on the bech for a quick last set to failure with the ez bar @ 25kg. My arms are feeling giant as I type this and my lats are aching already. I'm deffin doing this again next week!!
