BOXING DAY

Well today, both diet and training wise has been absoloutely cr@p.

I didn't end up working out today properly, but I intend on doing todays WO tomorrow (Tuesday 27th). The reason why today has been such a feck up, was bcos we went down our Grandparents place for another roast (this isn't so bad ) and I normaly W.O at 1pm, but we had to be there for 1pm! Also I couldn't eat what I normally do in a day, cos I'd probably clear their cupboards!!

Diet has been like this....

wake ASAP: 3/4 can tuna and turkey + mayo (no whey yet ) 30g protein
Breaky 9am: oats, banana, milk, nuts & p/b 15g
11:30am: Whey-less gainer shake (same as above with oats) and more turkey! 20g
1:30-2pm: Roast (loads of veges, beef & pork - no turkey. Thank Christ!) + half can peach slices and v small dollop clotted cream) 40-45g
5:00pm: large sandwich (2 x 1.5 inch thick slices wholemeal bread, tin tuna, kidney beans, p/b, mayo, lettuce) + 2 oranges 35-40g
(LATER) 8:00-30pm: 2 chicken breasts & vege or salad 50g
Prebed 11pm: 5-600ml milk, 4 roasted chestnuts and large dollop or 2 of c/cheese. 15g (guess)

Total: 205-215g protein (not that bad I guess)

Exercise wise, done today (will be doing todays WO tomorrow)....

Knee height table (decline) pressups.

15, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

Full coal bucket and log bucket squats (OMG, I was desparate! Held out in front of me )!

15 (only 1 set of 15 reps)

20kg plate squats:

15

40kg plate squats:

10

Thats it, been a bit of a boring day really, so not good for anything. I could have eaten another roast the same size if not bigger straight after the one I had today and by 5pm when I had the sarnie, my stomach wouldn't stop rumbling. I was starving!! Only 3 hours break too. I used to go from a small breakfast at 11am to a small evening meal at 8:30pm before I started training, and my stomach wasn't grumbling as much then as what it was earlier on!

Anyway, not great, hopefully tomorrow will go a lot better. Still really disapointed I didn't get my rack! (joking aside) It's came into reality now how much money I'm gonna have to spend on getting my room sorted, a mattress bought along with s*ite loads of other stuff I need to get/pay for.

Tuesday 27th Dec (26th's sesh)

Warm up: Stretch, 8 reps light DB squats at 40 & press ups.

DB Squats - 5x8 @ 55
Deadlifts - 5x5 = 85, 90, 95, 97.5, 100
DB Bench Press = 50 (20 reps), 50 (12)
DB Floor Press = 50 (12), 50 (12), 50 (12), 50 (12), 50 (12)
Incline DB Press 3 x 12-20 @ 40 (12), 40 (12), 40 (8)

Nothing to failure today. This lot took about 1.5 hours to do, what with p1ssing around with the sh1**y DB collars I have. They drive me nuts!!

Anyway, squats were OK. Wern't great though, but upped the weight a little. I'm finding them tiring more than anything and not all that strenuous. I mean yeah, I can feel them working my legs, but I'm deffinitely not lifting "last rep of last set to failure"........ I sooo need a rack ASAFP!!
Loving deads today ! First double digit No and I'm well chuffed. Did all 5 reps too and my arms felt well long afterwards! Big pulling sensation in my forarms/elbow joints aswell and my hands are covered in those little bl00dy blistery type things!
DB benches were a right pain the ar5e. Spent most of the time fr1gg1n around with the collars, which kept bending out of shape, as I have to do them up with a pair of pliers! They just went really cr@p basically. I couldn't get enough weight on them for them to be hard work and do fivex5, so I did loads (not good ). Just didn't enjoy them at all and I think I'll be going back to the old BB bench Friday (sorry Northern Monkey!).
Incline bench went a bit crap aswell, due to the previous c0ck up with DB bench.

Not the best WO, but hey I got another tomorrow!!!!!

What was I on about "double digit"??

Yeah, I'm well chuffed. Walking around the house like a cripple though ATM. I guess so. Its just a pain when it goes down the pan for a bit, with all the time/effort and what not I've put into it.

Back to the norm tomorrow though. Depending on what I feel like, I'll decide whether or not to have an easy session (expect I will ).

Haha bugger off! (J/k) LMAO Cheers Perry mate ... Aaanyway....

Wednesday 28th Dec

Warm up: Stretch, press-ups & 10 reps each leg 25kg DB lunges.

Single leg squats 5x5 each leg @ 44kg + 10x25kg lunges each
SLDL's 5x5 @ 60 (OK)
Dips (weighted, aim 4x12 then up) @ 7.5kg - 12, 12, 11, 8
Pullups - 4 x max – 8, 6, 4, 3, 2 (overhand – all rushed )

Plus 2 sets of 40kg EZ bar calf raises to failure.

Not bad today. Fancied a change from the lunges so I went for single leg squats. Hard, but completed everything and a nice change aswell. Lost my balance a couple o' times though !
SLDL's were good and I much prefer these to GM's. Glad I've a day off tomorrow (me wee back, ooo )!
Dips (note: NO quaters!) went even better than last week and I went for 7.5kg this time (maybe 10kg next week with same, if not more reps???).
Pullups didn't go well at all, as I was rushing all of em apart from the first set of 8. Literally only had a few secs rest in between the rest and they were done hanging from a huge wooden beam (not the normal bar).
I couldn't be arsed to dig out the DB's and mess around with them again so I got the EZ bar, quickly slapped two 20kg plates either side and did 2 sets of c/raises to finish.

Squats, SLDL's and dips were good but the rest I felt was pretty poor. Ohh well, won't have any interuptions next week anyhow.

Well, it wasn't too bad was it.

One legged squats are total bitches, i could never do them properly. And yes, i did fall over on several occasions trying to do them

I'm suprised the SLDL's were a bit on the light side given you're lifting quite a bit more on DL's. But provided it pushed you and you kept good form there's no problems i guess

Up the weight on the pullups, i'd keep the same rep scheme tbh.

Did Ice_mach give you the routing btw?

No, not too bad.

LMAO!! Might try them again next week as they felt quite good. Much easier to keep my balance with than lunges anyhow and I didn't get as out of breath either.

Yes, 60kg on the SLDL's was just a test weight. I can't remember what weight I used, when doing them in the past, but I'm deffin going to be upping this some, come next week. They were pretty easy.

Do you mean up the weight on the dips or pullups? I'm not using any added weight on the pullups yet.

How'd you guess?? Yes, it was Ice_mach!

good job on the deadlift mate, the pulling out of your arms should lead to some nice trap growth

lots of reps for dips with added weight, nice one!
