built my own gym for 250 , its basic but does for me .Its in my cellar .
The best thing about it is that the kitchen is only 5 seconds away

I can't believe you're paying £20 a month for that, you can get a decent gym with all the equipment you'll need and working toilets and showers for about £25

A few points in my gyms defence -

It's 2 miles from my house - there are very few decent local gyms

You can wear what you want including rigger boots and jeans - saves time for lads going or coming from work

No nobheads/chavs allowed

Train any time you like 24/7

nearly always empty so you can get on what you want , not that theres much to 'get on'

those db are like the ones in normans!

From the outside it looks like Reading's most famous 'massage' parlour!

I like it! The other gym I train at (for free) charges most £16.00 a month but they've got loads of members so I'd guess the rents covered and we charge visitors £2.00 a pop (goes towards equipment) when they use our gym. I did manage to dent the floor throwing dumbbells around the over day but we have 17mm thick matting so it's normally ok.

Yeah but your dumbells are 150kg, no wonder they "dent" the floor.

Lol, yes ! but better than that some of the db's have fallen apart on people , the 100lb ones are notorious for it , it just adds to the excitement
