tbh, I probably didn't appreciate its greatness at the time, only being 5kg more than last week but it's growing on me
2xBW+, nice

I don't really feel like keeping it up. keeping it the same, and losing a bit of the "power belly" is the aim at the moment, though that may change after I have good week's rest.....

utterly fooked today, I think I may be suffering from "CNS strain".
was ambling 'round ASDA this evening and suddenly felt like curling up on the floor and going to sleep
good thing I had a trolley to keep me upright

thank you Jez. I sincerely hope that figurine isn't part of your personal collection, or I may need to revise the high esteem in which I hold you.

needs to be done. for the last couple of weeks I've been feeling close to the verge of that term beloved by doctors and physio's that is "overdoing it"

yes, well, so are you. need to work on that squat though
I suggest abandoning bench and deads for a month, and just concentrate on squats, let me have a well earned break

thurs 24th april

FBBB: 50x5, 70x5, 90x3, 120 x5, x5, x3 , 100x9

owwwwwww! shoulders, upper arms, and wrists were all aching like buggery tonight for no discernible reason. I was good for 5 on the last set, strengthwise, but it was just getting too sore to continue
100 was okay during, but upper arms were agony after I racked the bar, a bit like the pain you can get when you put the bar down after e-z curls. felt like my humeri were going to snap
might be a good idea to designate next week a no-pressing week....
noooooo!

No pressing?

100's x 5 ...just to keep your hand in?

It's common enough to feel like that if you've not warmed up properly. I don't include a lot of the warm up in my log, but you have to do plenty of work to get the joints moving prior to heavy sets like 120*5. An extra couple of minutes is usually enough for me, but I've learned to recognise when I need more. If you can windmill both arms without pain and don't feel tight when the bar's down on your chest then you're about right. If you look like you've run a marathon and are suffering from extreme dehydration you may be overdoing it...

tues 29th april

squat: 50x8, 90x5, 110x3, 130x2, 150, 170 x2, x2, 175x2PB

hmph! I wanted 170x3PB tonight, but I couldn't bring myself to go for the 3rd rep, as by the end of the second rep my face felt so I felt like it might burst if I did the last rep
couldn't let the night end without a PB, so slapped on 5 more for a hard, but not difficult double.
"forgot" I was going to start doing dropsets on squats

thurs 1st may

FBBB: 50x10, 60x10, 70x10, 80x10, 90x10, 100x4

everything was going fine until 100 where "the pain" started manifesting.
not as bad as last week, but I could tell if I'd continued it would have got worse.
not due to insufficient warmup then....

Very odd indeed, you say it only gets worse as you progress?
