mrbeige Well, here we are, three weeks out spending some time with our new daughter, Evelina Marie, who arrived on 21st January, after a difficult delivery. She weighed in at 7lb 4oz, which is about the amount of weight I've managed to put on since! LOL! Sleep is somewhat missing from my life at the minute, as is any motivation to train, having had a couple of opportunities to but have preferred the comfort of my sofa! Not sure what the near future holds with regard to training, but I'm back to work tomorrow, so maybe that might put some routine back into my life, and as such inspire me to pick up some weights again. I'll try and catch up with everyone's journals over the next few days. Hello mate! Great news about the nipper! You'll soon settle into a routine bud, sleep will be the hardest bit lol!! Now get your arse back out to the gym! Come on son, you were catching me up! You'll let me get away further if you don't get back on it|!!!! Come on bud - dead, squat push!! LETS GET IT DONE!!!! Godd to see you back aqnd the wife and nipper doing well buddy, made up for you!

Stu as I said mate, once you get in a routine your life really does open up again, it's extremley hard in the beginning especially with your first. ROUTINE ROUTINE ROUTINE.... Sounds like you're enjoying being a dad, gets better and better as they get older, my girl is 3.5 and acts like she's 9 or 10..lol..love it.. Have a good return session!!

On The Flop Stu as I said mate, once you get in a routine your life really does open up again, it's extremley hard in the beginning especially with your first. ROUTINE ROUTINE ROUTINE.... Sounds like you're enjoying being a dad, gets better and better as they get older, my girl is 3.5 and acts like she's 9 or 10..lol..love it.. Have a good return session!! Yeah, as soon as we can get a routine the better, but I understand that isn't always possible. Being a Dad is weird, awesome and emotional! I don't think I was fully prepared for how I'd feel. Bit weird really.

If it's any consolation I have found it does get easier mate. Cheers W1LL! A very interesting few weeks, that's for sure. Only to get more interesting I'd imagine! Hopefully back to the gym tonight for a bit of a press session. Not sure whether I'll follow my normal routine or not. Need to get some Cardio in my life to try and drop the fat I've managed to put on ove the past few weeks. My work trousers are ever so tight!!

Bit weird really. Mate, you can never prepare for it. After the first week with Matilda I actually broke down for quite a few hours with the sudden realisation of what we had. I had to take myself away for some space, I was worried sick I wasn't ready for the responsibilty or be a good enough dad for her. It honestly took me nearly all day to snap out of it. Was a very weird experience, probably just the realisation that you now have this little person to protect, teach, love, care for, and these things all go before anything you want for yourselves. You watch how time flies now, thing one thing they never do is let you get bored

8th February - Modified overhead day Clean (on 1st rep) and Strict Press (4x1-3, 90%x3, 80%x5) warm-up 60x3 70x1 77.5x1 PB + 2.5kgs 80xF 67.5x3 62.5x5 Well, **** me, I managed a PB after 3 weeks out. I'd have loved to see what I might have been able to shift 2 weeks ago. Perhaps the Ortmayer routine does work! Zerchers (some) 60x10 90x10 110x5 130x3 Feck, I was screwed after doing these! Seated Reg Park Presses (5x6-9) 20x8 20x6 20x5 17.5x5 17.5x5 Supersetted with Plate Pinching 5kg+5kg - 1min each side 10kg+5kg - 35secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side Sh1t the bed I was knackered after that. Clearly sleep deprivation has an effect. The Zerchers completely wiped me out! All good though. Chuffed I managed a PB on strict press though; total result!

Great session Stu!! Hes back!! Awesome PB! You'll get used to less sleep, as you see i'm typing this at 4.51 am having been up 2 hours with ill nipper! Sleeps overated lol!!

Didn't get to sleep until 1.30 last night, had disturbed sleep when Evelina wanted a feed at about 3ish, and am now half asleep sat at my desk! LOL On The Flop That'll blow the cobwebs out, great work dude!! Cheers dude! Cobwebs suitably blown out. Body felt 'weird' laid in bed last night, kindy achey but not. W1LL So are you starting to settle into a routine yet then? Kinda. Evelina managed to sleep from 2.30am through to 8.15am this morning. That's nearly 6 hours!! LOL She'll be sleeping through soon.....hopefully... Hoping to get a session in later too :)
