RE: neil armstrong/for the younguns he was the 1st man to walk on the moon

ORIGINAL: Wayne Cowdrey A few more points - Sun angles incorrect for times of day. Astronauts took photos with cameras mounted on their chests, and had to use guesswork, and yet a lot of the photos seem very well "composed". There are photos that COULDN'T have been taken by the astronauts, due to where the camera would have to be. Who took those? In one photo, lunar buggy's tyre tracks suggest it has been dragged into place (for the benefit of a photo), rather than driven. As for the reflectors that WERE set up on the Moon, the most likely explanation is unmanned missions. Maybe just maybe though there are remains of astronauts still on the Moon, who managed to set up the equipment before they succumbed to deadly radiation. Armstrong, Aldrin, etc didn't go. The Moon is (I think) approx a quarter of a million miles away. That's the distance that a well-used car will travel in its "life". A HUGE distance for humans to travel with little/no protection from radiation. Radiation is the biggest stumbling block for human space exploration. They took thousands of photo's. How many have you ever seen? 100 maybe? Not that surprising that they will pick the best for general display. Radiation is an issue, but far from deadly. I've had more of a dose of radiation from 10 years of frequent flying than the Apollo crew got from a single moon mission. The largest dose for an Apollo mission was 2.85 REM. Illiness will occur at about 100, death at >500. Radiation is a more significatant issue for the mars project.

ORIGINAL: cu3ed What photos COULDNT be taken? There is a good example of a photo taken from a great height (on flat ground). I'll see if I can find that particular photo on the internet, and I'll direct you to it. Also a "classic" photo of Aldrin couldn't have been taken by camera on Armstrong's chest.

ORIGINAL: CheekyChappie All the standard hoax theories concerning shadows, flags, no stars etc. are all adequately explained here: www.badastronomy.com I have yet to see any rebuttals to any of the explanations on this site. Thanks CC ,I always point to the badastonomy page as everything is covered, please if you are a fake theory sympathiser or caught in the middle go and read it properly! The "docu's" on TV should be treated with the same respect as Greg Valentino's expo on roids yet thats what what the public want to be fed. Utter fcking drivel!.

Sorry cu3ed, can't find that photo at moment. It's on p.159 of "Dark Moon" by Bennett and Percy. Shows the Surveyor 3 with the Apollo 12 LM in the background. Quote - "It would be interesting to know who actually took this picture - taken from a considerable height, as the astronauts were allegedly standing on the surface!" Interestingly, this was a particularly dusty area, and yet the LM's rocket blast STILL didn't disturb the surface!!! ORIGINAL: cu3ed In one (really one, theirs no more just the one?) the lunars tryes "suggest" it has been dragged into place.....suggested?...thats all the fact I need! Maybe the astronauts enjoyed doing handbrake turns!!! If the images/footage were genuine, it wouldn't be possible to find so many "problems".

Why don't we just ask the man him self. Anyone know if Neil Armstrong is a member?

And the obvious thing all the fake moon lovers seem to miss is that light ,dust ,perspective etc and thus pictures do not answer to the same laws as here on earth. I'll assume of course you wouldve thought of that though right? you would of surely taken the little fact that the moon is different to the Earth into consideration ? These program makers only care about the truth you know? they just want to show everyone how deceptive nasa was, there's no sensationlism involved or anything, just the truth...on TV....and backed up on John Does website, awesome. Shows no respect to the many Astronaunts and cosmonauts that have died just so some cheapshot wanky journalists can makeup bullsh1t conspiracy theorys but you cant blame them can you since so many people always want to believe anything but the truth. We landed on the moon,is'nt that a good enough story for you?

ORIGINAL: TrentReznik why read only your side of things? go and learn its fun! I have read and respect other people's views. I've checked out the links. They don't offer explanations for all the issues I've raised. I hope they DID go, but after looking into it I'm 100% convinced that the images/footage were fabricated. Disappointing.

Disappointing. think about it this way. lets say we didnt go to the moon, The US government pulled off the biggest most elaborate hoax and conspiracy of all time. not only did they slip it under the nose of hundreds of millions of public but also the soviets who were in contest with the US at the time and presumably keeping a very close eye on eveything they were up to. not forgetting the thousands involved in the NASA project who were supposed to be working on a working space craft. lets say thats what happened. to then expect me to believe they 'fluffed' up the photos seems ridiculous, forgot to put the stars in, left bit of the props in the photos, took photos from places where they couldnt have been taken? what happened did they have NASA sitting around twiddling their thumbs and distracting the russians while a school drama group performed a ficitional moon landing and recorded it? common sense. by saying the americans hoaxed it you are giving them a massive amount of credit in terms of intelligence and then doubling back on yourself saying they cant take convincing photos, how come the soviets haven't blown it out the water? they would have every reason too. does it not make more sense that they have seen the photos and being experts themselves realised they are infact genuine?

Roots - oh so naive. Don't you realise that internet conspiracy theorists have technological equipment far more advanced than those pesky Ruskies could ever dream of owning, hence they're able to analyse any piece of evidence that shows the landing took place and discredit it thus proving that the whole mission was an elaborate hoax. Or are the Russians in on it too??

So hold on, let me get this straight - we've actually been to the moon?!! When the f*** did this happen and why wasn't I told about it? This reminds me of the time when all of my so called "mates" arranged a trip to Blackpool but neglected to tell me about it as they thought I'd end up consuming too much alcohol and get a little 'rowdy'. First of all it was a trip to Blackpool you neglect to tell me about, now it's a visit to the moon - and you call yourself my friends... Osagi

I know nothing about the politics/history behind it all, but I do know that the images/footage contain many problems that are difficult (and in some cases impossible) to explain. The gravity in the footage is incorrect (way off). How on Earth can that be explained? In the book Dark Moon it is suggested that the errors were deliberately planted by people who didn't agree with what was going on - to be unearthed later on. Is it possible that they did go, but discovered that their photography/filming technology wasn't up to the job, so they decided to re-create the event(s) in a studio???

ORIGINAL: Wayne Cowdrey I know nothing about the politics/history behind it all, whats to know? the soviets and the US didnt like each other and were in a race to prove superiority by landing a man on the moon but I do know that the images/footage contain many problems that are difficult (and in some cases impossible) to explain. nothing about the pictures is impossible to explain, by me and you yes definatley but not by someone who knows what they are talking about, again why havn't the top soviet experts had the americans up on it? well and truly embaressed them? becuase for them it isnt impossible The gravity in the footage is incorrect (way off). how? in what way? How on Earth can that be explained? In the book Dark Moon it is suggested that the errors were deliberately planted by people who didn't agree with what was going on - to be unearthed later on. i'm sorry but i find this absolutley ridiculous, common sense? Is it possible that they did go, but discovered that their photography/filming technology wasn't up to the job, so they decided to re-create the event(s) in a studio??? there isn't a vaccum big enough (and it would need to be a vaccum) to house a studio for them to film in.

"There's no stars! omg" Ok, go out into the day, right now and see if you can see any stars. Neil and Buzz were on the day side of the moon so the sun's light would be too strong to see any stars.
