question for people who buy boxes/bulk chicken breasts...........

hi guy and girls, just bought my first 5kg tub of chicken from butchers today, never bought in bulk before always just supermarket trays, anyway gona write what was on the label as it was wrote and could someone explain what the hell it means and if it's quality chicken, cause would like to know, it was £25 for the 5kg. Thanks FRESH SINGLE CHICKEN BREAST FILLETS 220 PLUS GRAMS 1 X 5KG. GAS FLUSH HALAL SLAUGHTERED. PACK DATE 03-02-12 NL 5610EG USE BY 17-02-12 CLASS A TRACEABLITY CODE 050225

gas flush is the way the packing is sealed and hala is the way its slaughtered (not electrocuted) the other stuff is factory codes

Yeah well good, keep meaning to pop into my local butchers and see if he would do me a deal if I only got my meat from him, just never get round to it.

softail gas flush is the way the packing is sealed and hala is the way its slaughtered (not electrocuted) the other stuff is factory codes its decent then? haven't tried it yet, have most of it in the freezer now and will grill some shortly see what it tastes like. Also got kilo of frying steak for £4, kilo of rump for £7 and kilo of sirlion for £8 not bad eh oh plus kilo of fresh chicken strippers for the kids lol for £5

I buy chicken breasts in bulk. 10 breasts is £10, that's from the wholesale butchers.
Bench Press 140 x 5 Squat 150 x 5 Deadlift 160 x 5

I pay £10 for 2.5kg of fresh chicken breasts, 250g x10 This is from makro, tastes good enough!

i get very similar from my butcher, its good meat. always taste fresh even after defrosted. once frozen dont worry about the use by date, i just defrost 4 breasts every other day. over cook all at once using one of the maggi flavouring bags and eat two a day.
