Did you try the echinacea? I've just been trying to get Welshy on it, even now you've been ill you should start taking it, I find it really really wards off colds ove the winter... Glad you're feeling optimistic - keep it up! Who knows, I might even join you!

right, im never drinking lucozade again. In fact i think i may never eat simple sugars again. work this after noon, last meal at 2, and at 4 im starving. one of the lads offered a bottle of lucozade, so i had that. About an hour ago, i head to the supermarket, aware that im starting to feel hungry. About ten minutes in, and i have the early signs of a reactive hypo, no worries i think, at that point i normally have about 10-15 minutes before im really suffereng. Literally 30 seconds later im stood in front of the meat, trying to decide which mince i want, but every time i try focus on something, its blurry, then i forget what im looking for, try focus again, remember the mince, and i go on like that, i have no idea how long i was there must have been a minute or two, im then aware sort of, that everything keeps going dark, like im closing my eyes, but only im not closing them. Im blacking out, in the middle of a super market, but strangely, i just stood there still looking at the meat, cant focus, then everything goes black for a second or two and then again everythings fuzzy. it all seems a bit 'out of body' now. My arms twitching, so i try look round, its not twitching its a shop worker, asking if im ok, i realise im slumped over my trolley, sweat pouring down my face and soaked my shirt, i look at her and as i do everything goes black again for a few seconds. Im now sat on the floor in the supermarket, having knocked over a large display. i somehow manage to tell her that i need sugar. next thing im waking up, still sat on the supermarket floor, with a large crowd round me, i can sort of see them, but cant really hear anything much thats going on. a really weird feeling by all accounts. Im trying to talk but utter gibberish is coming out of my mouth, im also being given lucozade in little sips by a woman in a supermarket uniform, who seems to be telling me that shes diaetic too. took another couple of minutes to come round properly, at which point i thanked the woman for her help, glared at the people that were watching, who seemed to get the message to fcuk off. I then left without my shopping, as the ambulance had been called, and i didnt want the fuss. i suffer reactive hypos, but i have never had one like this. onset was ridiculously quick. this is my regular supermarket, in a town where lots of people know me, feel like a right tool, and properly embarrased about it, even though there was nothing i could do.

OMG you poor thing... I've only ever had two hypo's, and I didn't know what they were - like you, I was really embarassed, but there's no reason to be at all. You probably spiked on the lucozade then crashed mega quick...

still got this cold and cough as well, so rather drained. no gym yet again, its looking like another week out. The weight is properly falling off me now as well. id say that i have lost all the weight i gained in rebound, plus a bit more as well. so in the past couple of months, overall ive gone backwards. hard to feel positive at the moment. Competing next year and doing well seems like a distant dream now. Ive also just been given a date for hernia surgery. which is 13 of january. But i have to have a medical and bloodtest mid december. So that fcuks me right up for getting back on cycle to try regain the muscle i have lost. God knows what to do, i cant train naturally for the next 2 months, i would be tiny. might just go back on, and if the medical means i cant have surgery, well so be it.

God knows what to do, i cant train naturally for the next 2 months, i would be tiny. might just go back on, and if the medical means i cant have surgery, well so be it. It's all coming on top of you at once isn't it! I would seek professional advice on the point of view that "I can't train naturally, I would be tiny" - and lets say that that is the case, I would suggest that as soon as you go back on a cycle you will reap the benefits. Plenty of people have lay-off's for health reasons. Infact a friend of mind had her hernia op8 months ago. And granted, she lost size during the time she was off, but, by her own admission, she's as big now, as she ever was, nothing lost. Eat wisely, train hard, and use all of the natural advantages that you can. Health does come first, and if you're dedicated enough, you'll not let a minor setback stop you. And STOP BEING NEGATIVE!

oasis, titch, cheers guys, im hoping i can work something out! Flick, your right of course health has always and will always come first, same reason i dont use cutting meds, or diuretics. So whatever i have to do i have to do! finally gave in to rachels nagging (in a nice waylol) today, and went to the doctors about my cough, turns out i have a chest infection. So antibiotics to clear that up! at least i should start to feel better in the next couple of days, so i can get back to the gym and get my diet back on track! right, new plan formulated now, to get me through the next couple of months, and the run up the qualifiers next year! definately wont make the MT show in june, which i would have liked to have done, so it will be leeds again to try improve on this years placing and qualify for the brits. Im no longer going to do the cut i had planned in january, instead i will probably run bulking all the way through to the start of comp prep. Had hoped to cut in january to nearly stage condition, and retake the bulking from there, but things change, so you have to adapt! So, new target is to post progress pictures at the end of december, and to have improved on the last ones i posted!

I don't think there's 'owt wrong with scrapping the cut in January - as long as you don't gain too much why would you wanna cut anyway?
