Nice journal mate, looking good. I have always been impressed with the advice you give in the beginners' and training correctly sections. Very knowledgeable answers! Keep it up mate!

Cheers buddy, much appreciated. Todays notes so far: 10am - get up - Porridge + green tea + protein shake 11am - 3 weetabix 11.45am - Banana 12pm - Train Legs/back/biceps Legs was a bit non-existant again, but only due to the fact that both my training partners were wanting to run and didnt fancy doing a lot of legs on my own. Infact wasnt actually a too good a training session, think we were all just recovering from the weekend. Squat 3x8 (100kg) Deadlift supersetted with Inverted rows Deadlift - 10 @ 90kg - Inverted rows - 15 Deadlift - 10 @ 90kg - Inverted rows - 15 Deadlift - 10 @ 90kg - Inverted rows - 10 Lat pull down 3x10 (59kg) Chin-ups 2x10 (Bodyweight) Hammer curls 3x12 (17.5kg) - never managed the 3x12 at this weight so happy @ that. 21's 30kg Followed by 40g whey + some jelly babies!!! 2pm - 6 weetabix + natural yoghurt 2.30pm - 2 cod fillets Probably got football later on, not sure yet though, not really in the mood for it at all but should play really as missed last week!

lol ate the weetabix and tuna seperately though dont worry lol. yeah always on chest/shoulders/tris in one session, do that and back/legs/bis twice a week as is working really well atm. Not in education at the moment no mate, am off to uni next year though hopefully after taking 2years out to just do a few things including qualifying as a PT where i just run my own exercise classes from it, dont want a full time job just yet so happy with part time stuff. Have been training around 2years or so, but for the fisrt year didnt have a clue and basically did bench press, shoulder press and bicep curls every session or something similar lol, in the last year or so have looked into it a lot more and has really helped too, diet and training wise.

Your lifts are very good taking into account your training experience.

I know what you mean about not taking it serious. I was the same until about 2/3 months ago. I keep a personal journal, but it keeps you motivated trying to beat what you did last week, I already cant wait for next weeks bench. I can't believe I was just sitting at the same weights and not pushing myself for so long. It wasn't that i couldnt lift heavier, i'd never tried, just stuck into a routine ! Good journal mate.

cheers yungdest, yeah seems annoying now that i went for so long just dawdling along doing random crap and not getting that far lol. I did my level2 at college Ice so when it came to the PT course i saved £800 and didnt have to do the first 13days so was quite helpful really, dont actually do any PT'ing just run exercise classes which is good as gives me money i use for going out then use part time work to save towards uni. Am hopefully going to study sports science, thats all my grades are really geared towards, or something else within sport, but did well at SS at college so hoping will be the same at uni! Todays notes 6.30am - get up - exercise class - 1.5mile run to start that i took part in too 7.30am - Porridge + green tea + protein shake 10.30am - 4egg whites + 2yolks scrambled + green tea 11.30am - Banana 12pm train Chest/Shoulders/Triceps Bench press 1x10 (80kg) 2x8 (85kg) - higher than normal and felt pretty good although 8th rep was always a struggle. Incline press (machine) 3x8 (90kg) Chest flyes 3x10 (15kg) Crunches + leg raises 30 of each Standing shoulder press 1x10 (17.5kg) 2x10 (20kg) Front raise supersetted with lat raise 3x10 (of each @ 8.5kg) - will put this up next time as reckon i should be doing more, dropped the weight down from 10 lately to get better technique, but 8.5feeling easy now so will try going back up. Skull crusher supersetted with CGBP 3x10 (of each @ 30kg - again will go back to 35next time, but just been preventing making my hand injury worse, but fully healed now) Rope pushdowns 3x10 - 55lbs i think Followed by 40g whey + banana 2pm - 3 weetabix + yoghurt 3pm - 3.5mile run, steps + hills + sprints thrown in for good measure, managed half a second under 30mins too which is all good (including a stop halfway for toilet ha) 4pm - Subway - meatball marinara :/ was walking back from run and was too tempted, need to resist temptation more, major weak point! 5pm - Tin mackarel 5.30pm - 3 weetabix + yoghurt Resting in for the rest of the day, probably heading to my dads so will end up getting a take-away most likely which isnt great, but will go for most healthy option (if thats possible - chicken shish or something with all the salad no sauce) although if im lucky he may have a steak cooking! Complete day of rest planned for tomorrow i hope, although may have to accompany a few mates wanting to head out, which will make the main night of thursday quite tough!

Very cool mate was asking for a reason you see, i done sports science at college too, at my first yr at uni now doing sports and ex science too, so im also level 2 atm, i got a DDM 6 points off a DDD rippin! LOL My plan was to work as at level 2 while at uni then as a PT after uni when ill be level 3, then if PT'ing doesnt work out i can go into some other line of work as ill have a degree :) Would like to work as a gym instructor while at uni so keeping my eye out atm. Any idea what uni you wanna go too? What classes do you take and whats the money like?
