road to perfection, possibly! pics page 1.... ***NEW PICS PAGE 15*** - 13 August 2009 08:50
Right after hearing good things about it am going to try to keep a journal and actually keep to it if i can.

Problem is my training and diet is a bit all over the place so hopefully this will help me keep it in check, although being quite busy with lots of things currently wont help too much but will go as best as i can.

My main goal is basically to do cover modelling at some point, my avatar photo is my most recent but is around 6months old so will try to get some posted at some point.

Am currently
Age: 19
Height: 6foot2
Weight: 14stone
Bodyfat: 14% (guess)

My overall target is to get to around 15stone/95kg at around 10%body fat or so which is a fair bit of work away but is long term target.

Dont use any steroids but as for supplements am currently on.
Boditronics express whey
maltodextrin
Gaspari size on (just started and with rave reviews giving it a go)

My training schdule is different to normal id say, am just trying something new and to some people may not look too great, but have been improving everything on it so far so sticking with it till end of September when current gym membership runs out and hopefully get a full time job in a gym.

Anyway, here goes, starting from this morning.
________________________________________________________________

6.30am - wake up, 30mins fasted cardio (steady jog)

7.15am - 75g prrodge oats, green tea + protein shake.

All there is to say now really! just cooked a batch of turkey breasts so will get through them and a load of tuna i have in stock over next few days and try to keep this updated.

goodluck with your goals mate, i too would love a physique like a cover! seems like a dream to me though! hopefully get there one day

make sure u note all the changes, gains and sides of the size on buddy, plenty will be interested in it, including me! i've never done anything more than protein shakes, but am starting to consider some sort of non-roid related size increase supplement now...

bit more of an update for the day.

10am -
turkey steak + apple

11am - training session.
Legs, back, biceps (as i said slightly strange combination but am giving something new a try - doing this along with chest/shoulders/triceps each twice a week)

Leg press -
1x10 (100kg)
1x10 (120kg)
1x10 (140kg)

Squat
1x8 (70kg)
1x8 (90kg)
1x8 (100kg)

Calf raise
3x10 (80kg)

Deadlift
3x10 (90kg)

Bent over row
3x10 (60kg)

Seated row

2x10 (100lbs - dont have kilos)
1x9 (120lbs)

Hammer curls
3x12 (15kg in each arm)

Preacher curls
2x10 (27.5kg)

took size-on during workout followed by 40g maltodextrin + 40g whey.

Was absolutely knackered after session, felt so pumped and definately gave me a good workout but feeling good at same time.

1pm - turkey breast, cucumber in 2slices wholmeal bread + orange juice.

3pm -
subway BMT - not too great but was meeting a mate in town and fancied something to eat.

got an exercise class to teach at half 5 too which will be tough with only 14hours sleep in last 3 days and being knackered.

5pm - protein shake in water + banana

had a client to train at 5.30 - did 2miles of cv within session though.

7.30pm -
turkey steak + pasta + brocolli + green tea.

10:10pm - protein shake in water and about to get some sleep adter having just 14hours in last 3 nights, which only one of which nights was worth it!
So need some rest for a chest/shoulders/triceps day tomorrow.

Have also ordered some myprotein flapjacks as am rubbish when it comes to cooking so will be a good thing to take when needed!

Bench press
1x15 (50kg)
2x7 (85kg)
1x8 (80kg)

Incline dumbbell press

2x8 (27.5kg)
1x10 (25kg)

Chest dumbbell flyes (inclined)
3x10 (15kg)

2x8 (40kg)

Tricep pushdown (rope)
1x10 (60kg)
1x10 (65kg)
1x10 (60kg)

12.30pm - Turkey breast + half pepper in 2 slices wholemeal bread.

2.30pm - Tin tuna

Wont update again till tomorrow as am out tonight so wont be great for the plan, but cant stay away from it so will have to deal with it, is always a good laugh so...

Re:road to perfection, well maybe not quite! - 15 August 2009 17:11
cheers boys hopefully will get there in the end :)

Anyway update, not a very good one though.
Went out on friday night as i said and got a bit messy had too much and etc etc.
Got in at 3.30am.

6.30am - wake up - could only manage a bowl of alpen was not feeling good but needed something, along with a pint of water +3 paracetamol.

Diet on saturday is pretty poor due to working a 9hour shift on part time at sainsburys, got 4 to do on Sunday but not so much of an effect but still get some time to get food in, but crap at preparing so go with what i can.

10am - tin of mackarel

1.30pm-
tin of mackarel, frijj milkshake, 2egg+cress sandwhiches.

5pm - get back from work, taking serving of size-on as the packet says, about to get a shower then will get a protein shake.

As i said very poor really but going out fridays doesnt help at all.

Will update a bit later on but diet still wont be too good today, just put saturday down as a sort of cheat day now.

Your diet isn't as bad as you made it out to be! You'll look good with another few kilos on your frame, your blessed with broad shoulders and narrow hips (git)

yeah not as bad as i thought when written out i guess, but still could make it so much better mate :)

Am trying to get some pictures done so will post them up later.

As for the shoulders to hips, unfortunately my hips arent as narrow as id like, bit of extra skin on obliques but can hopefully sort it out with some CV, when i do it properly away from my classes!

Right as promised managed to get some pictures.
Hopefully theyre not too bad!

As you can see, looking to add a bit of size and reduce some fat would be good, seem to be storing most of it around the mid-section unfortunately!

bit of an update for this morning.

8am - get up - 1hour of shuttle runs + bodyweight exercise (did this with an exercise class but always join in too)

9am - bowl of porridge + green tea + protein shake

Got work again a bit later on which am not looking forwards to and means 4hours without food, plus the 15min walk to and from which isnt great but have to deal with it. When the flapjack bars get through then will be easier as can just take them.

By the way man, there is absolutely no way you are 14% bodyfat. The reason I say that is because I'm 17%, and look at my pics in my journal! And I got mine done by a dietician with a calipers, etc so I'm positive it's accurate. At a guess I'd say you are around 12% maybe.

You are lean as fook mate. Certainly do not need to worry too much about adding fat during the bulk. Prob could do with some more chest and back mass though.

Dog sitting job sounds like fun, theres quite a large market for it in Brighton. Would make a good jogging partner!

yeah defo on the chest and back, giving them a good pounding of late just find them a lot harder to develop than legs/shoulders/bis/tris which is slightly annoying but working them more and more, back pics aint great really, think i have a bit more than shown but maybe the pics show what they really are like so need to improve.

Cheers James also.

finished work at half 4 and had a pepsi and pack of crisps, awful i know but only food available from vendimg machines really so needed something.

5pm -
Bowl of muesli + bowl of 3 weetabix.

7pm - Am planning on having a couple of large servings of lasagne with brocolli + carrots on side.

As normal weekend diet is pretty average but try to keep it half decent although use it more to cheat now.

@CK - yeah maybe am at around 12, not sure just had a guess of around 14 so stuck with that really!

And as for the dog sitting yeah could be good, way to earn a bit of extra money too and am pretty good with dogs so should suit me quite well for the time being, met the dog already and is very energetic, seems a cross between a staffy and a rotweiler but not exactly sure on the breed.

10am - 400metres uphill as quickly as possible, walk back down and repeat 4times, was absolutely ****ed!

10.30 am - bowl of porridge + green tea.

11am - tin tuna

Planning on going to gym at 12ish for legs/back/biceps knackered though so may have to do a fairly light day, will update it later on if possible, is brothers birthday so probably going out for a meal.

did a weights session, was knackering especially after sprints earlier.

12pm - Train (Legs,Back,Biceps) - size-on drank throughout.

Squat
1x10 (70kg)
2x8 (100kg)
1x10 (70kg)

Hamstring curl

3x10 (60kg)

Calf raise

3x10 (100kg)

Deadlift
1x10 (80kg)
2x8 (90kg)
Hard work doing these on same day as squats but current plan is going well so sticking with it at moment.

Bent over row
1x10 (50kg)
2x10 (55kg)

Seated row (no kg weight plates)
1x10 (100lb)
2x9 (120lb)

Wide(ish) chin ups (bodyweight)
3x5

Barbell curls
3x10 (35kg)

Was absolutely dead by the end, had planned on doing some preacher curls too but was drained and finished were i did.

Followed directly with 50g whey + 40g maltodextrin.

Side note- popped to some girls house to have a chat to see if she wanted to meet again but was out so left a note as lost her phone number lol so hopefully she will text back. (those who saw my thread a couple of weeks ago will know why this is in here lol!)

2pm - get home - sausage + cucumber + tomato baguette with green tea (not great on the sausages but my nan was round and had cooked them so felt rude to object + they are lovely anyway and have some protein anyway!)

Will update on diet later as should get on at some point, but just resting now as am shattered.

well got a fair bit of spare time at the moment, only working part time just split up from relationship so got most of the days (monday-friday) free so giving it a good go.

8pm - dinner - paella - loads of rice, chicken, seafood, veg etc etc followed by a piece of victoria sponge (brothers birthday had to be done) and 2 cups of green tea.

Feeling a fair bit more relaxed after earlier training ready to go for chest/shoulders/tris tomorrow!

ps - no luck on getting anything from that girl..wasnt really expecting it but thought is worth a punt.

well am a qualified PT, but at the moment i just run a few exercise classes through the week along with part time work in sainsburys.

My idea is to enjoy a last summer then go for full time employment, hopefully in a gym as a PT but wouldnt be too fussed as just a fitness instructor to start with.

6.30am - Did a class this morning and ran 2miles myself, not at a very quick pace but still cardio non the less.

7.30am - Breakfast - porridge + green tea + protein shake (normal breakfast)

As thought with dinner 8pm mozzarella cheese pasta had some tuna to start though and apple crumble for desert, was very nice although nutritionally not the best.

10.30pm - protein shake - off to bed ready for a run tomorrow morning, planning a fartlek session of around 30/40mins depending how my legs are, still killing from monday!

7pm - 3 burgers - from the butchers so decent meat, not full of crap in bread buns + green tea.

9pm - turkey breast

Planning on getting to bed around half 10 as got to be up at 6 so will take a protein shake just before that too.

Got legs/back/biceps tomorrow at the gym too, but legs are still killing hoping they'll of recovered by tomorrow but amy have to cut them out depending how i feel.

Them burgers are nice, but they always seem to fall apart on the BBQ!

yeah i know, which is a shame, just had them cooked in the grill but still lovely.

Update from today so far.

6am get up - teach fitness class, includes 2miles of steady state cardio with a few sprints and hills thrown in.

7.30am - bowl of porridge + green tea + protein shake

9.30am - turkey breast.

10.30am train - size-on drank through out and MP pulse before.
Didnt do as much as possible with legs today as still aching from monday but still got a couple of things in.

Leg press.
1x10 (130kg)
2x10 (160kg)
Think i could have done more but didnt want to push too far.

Calf raise
3x10 (110kg)

Deadlift
1x10 (90kg)
1x8 (100kg)
1x6(100kg)

Bent-over row
1x10 (60kg)
2x10 (55kg)

Seated row
3x10 (120lb) - never managed the 3 sets of 10 at this weight so definately happy with this (normally have to drop to 100lb)

Lat pull down
3x10 (50kg)

Hammer curls
3x12 (15kg)
did a 4th set of hammer curls as a drop set.
1x10 (15kg)
1x10 (12.5kg)
1x10 (10kg)
1x10 (7.5kg)

the 7.5kgs at the end felt like about 30kg, some bloke walking past gave me a funny look whilst struggling with 7.5kg which made me laugh to myself.

Followed directly by 50g whey + 40g maltodextrin.

12.45pm - MP protein flapjack

Got another class still to teach at 5.30pm as well as going out this evening clubbing so not ideal, but still always up for going out.

ps - just realised got 1111 reward points, nothing special just quite good.
