When I did speed work it really helped and I had been focussing more on that drive recently but of late it's been letting me down again. Once at knee it's not even questionable and I guess that why I can rep so well as the lockout strength is easy and at 205 pulling from the floor isn't an issue. Just don't have time ATM to focus on addressing the tech as the hypertrophy side is going well (shall try and do pics soon)
Jedi: I do and it is
Re:Dirty get back to basics (jedi)

 235x1??????

Re:Dirty get back to basics (CitizenKane)

Understand the disappointment but subjectively it's still an outrageous session of pulling, technique on the 235 was lovely. Well done.

It's interesting looking at your deadlifting though, you seem to be much stronger at the top of the lift and your 'sticking point' is much closer to the floor, so that the real graft appears to be getting the bar to the knee and then once you get it past the knee (or thereabouts) the bar flies up. I find this interesting because it's the exact opposite to me! Have you ever considered doing deficit pulls or the like to strengthen that part of the lift? Not to say that the bottom of your pull is weak by any stretch, but it appears to be weaker than the top.
Re:Dirty get back to basics (Brock Steel)

dirtyvest

1x235

Sorry?
Surely, you spelled "1" wrong? Dunno what compelled me to try again cos I was not certain I had it today but I dug in and nailed it. I was miffed at missing the strict double tho, 92.5 is (I think) a PB regardless but I soooo wanted the second. Deloaded nicely tho, especially the last set, may have rested longer than thought perhaps.
Triceps were cracking, the 135 double went up quite easily almost and good extra reps on the deloads too. Dips saw extra reps on last week also and PB saw a good couple extra on each set - it was at this point I convinced myself the session was a good one
