People who haven't dont appreciate that it's quite easy to get a bit stroppy/snappy while working that shift pattern i've found, even when you've been asleep all day you can wake up and still feel tired/irritable/down etc. Maybe this could be the reason, or he could be having a hard time at work etc.

Is he like this on days he doesnt work nights?
Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Tash188)

 Hi there,

I do apologise, I really didn't mean to start any arguements or anything! My original question was asking if taking too many supplements could affect your mood. I'm very grateful for all responses good and bad. I try my best to support my partner with his bodybuilding but just got concerned with his moods.

My questions have been answered now and I thank you all. I wont bother any of you anymore.

Thanks again

Tash xx
Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (mdm)

this was not the intention Ice

The intention was to let you guys know my opinion on this thread and its not really something that should be discussed.

This person tash has come on here asking questions about her partner, because he is acting strange and snappy and a few MT members have added fuel to the fire. We do not know all the angles/variables in play here - hence anything said would be based on tashes perception of the issue. Making her more worried/paranoid about something that could well be nothing - resulting in more conflict.
Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Icemansoldier)

So when you ask him he just walks away?

He should be telling you whats happening tbh imo, i mean yous are in a relationship and if he snapping unnecessary hes out of order imo.
Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Tash188)

Sorry I seemed to have annoyed some of you! I haven't been starting on him which I think some of think. I just wanted to ask about the supplements and yes I do ask him what the problem is but he doesn't open up often.

Anyhow, I wasn't trying to annoy anyone. Was just getting some advice from people who also take supplements.

Thanks again

Tash x
Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Icemansoldier)

Mdm you have came across as quite aggressive and patronising, dont know if you know this but you have mate.

Tash if its just a minor thing i wouldnt worry so much about it, but it you think its a big enough problem, better ask him, what you must know is steriods are safe when used properly so if he says he uses when you ask him dont be alarmed. Just say to him why are you snapping at me all the time and he should give you a straight honest answer, trust is a major thing in a relationship.

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Drew Price)

mdm

Detectives

I know your trying to be helpful but this is a domestic and not something that should be aired on here IMO.Tash or whatever your name is, this is what you need to know

Thanks for saving me some typing mdm!

I'm sorry guys but we know nothing about either peroson, all we have with regards to mood and mood changes are the details given by the partner, we have no idea of other factors at all.

There is simply nothing to go on.

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (tunaman)

i had this off my misses for a while. ive actually got a really bad temper to start with. she kept going on and on about me taking supplements - all i was using was whey and dextrose and the usual mulit vits, vit c etc etc. - so nothing out the ordinary.
i was also varyign my carbs at the time to see how my body was and find out what was best for me. and becasue i had been training well and eating well i had looked more muscluar, she assumed the wrongs things.
the reason i actually kept loosing my temper with her is that she kept feckin my head up with constant barrage of questions.

she asked me in the first instance, i answered honestly - the matter should be closed.!!! constant questions and dis-trust soon take sits toll on you.

tash, give the guy a break

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (titch84)

i think you should just bring the subject up, it could be a number of things diet, supplements overtraining. is he doing loads of cardio aswell. maybe he is really tired from all his training and work. if you went to the bnbf that is a natural show so the bodybuilders dont use steroids so if he is intrested in those comps i wouldnt think he would be using but could be wrong, i just done some comps myself and it was hard work dieting made me very snappy the girlfriend said. feel more relaxed now being able to eat what i want. sometimes i get frusted if i have a bad session at the gym maybe hes training so hard but not getting the results he wants that could be stressing him.or could be lack of sleep, keep supporting him i,m sure it will come of nothing.

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (mdm)

 Detectives

I know your trying to be helpful but this is a domestic and not something that should be aired on here IMO.Tash or whatever your name is, this is what you need to know

Relationships are built on trust
Guys need there space -
We dont like being moaned at

And rather than do all this sneaking around - just come out and ask him

Next point is how do you know of this site?

Does he use it?

And finally if you know the guy gets vexxed on wrk out days cut him some slack

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Icemansoldier)

^ yeah that would be correct.

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (fulham2309)

signs are what u would expect, mood changes, aggressive, snappy, argumentative ...

Re:Advice needed regarding supplements (Tash188)

See I didn't know that. I'm probably just worrying over nothing. Just thought i'd ask people who take supplements if they could have an effect on his mood as I don't have a clue. He's constantly trying to get me involved in his bodybuilding and I do try to take an interest. Went along to the bnbf qualifier on sunday with him which I actually quite enjoyed lol!

Anyway, I wont take up anymore of your time. Thanks so much for your help and advice. Steriods can make a person moody you sure hes not using them, if he doesnt want you to know about it they will be well hidden.

Maybe hes just a moody person?
