A bit about me first. I write human interest features for women's magazines and the national press. I focus on issues primarily to do with health, sex, relationships, parenting, family stories etc., but also try to place pieces about sub-cultures and alternative lifestyles.

I'm currently looking for UK based female bodybuilders with interesting real-life stories to tell. I hear that bodybuilding is rising amongst the UK female population, and I thought this would be a good time to approach your community, and ask whether anyone has any issues or experiences that they'd like to talk about. It would certainly be a way to get your community some national exposure and tell people exactly how many of you are out there, and the kind of values, interests, perspectives you try to propagate.

I'm open to any suggestions on the themes mentioned above, but here are some rather broad questions that might get you thinking:

How do you combine bodybuilding around your family, relationship?
Do you have a bodybuilding boyfriend? Did bodybuilding bring you together?
What, if at all, are the implications of your sport for your general health, sex life?
Has bodybuilding changed your life in any way?

As I say, if you think you have an interesting story to tell, or an insight to share, whatever it might be about, please get in touch. As a contributor you would be paid for anything that gets published, and you would have your pictures shown too. You would also retain full control over the content of any discussions we might have, and contrary to popular scepticism about participation with the media, nothing would be published without your fervent approval.

Please feel free to contact me at tomtooth.features@yahoo.com or find me on www.facebook.com under Tom R Tooth. I look forward to hearing from you.
