Although you dont really go into detail about fats. You just say they are consumed with meats ect.

Still abit confused about where to put my fats, but i normally have most at breakfast, pre workout and in my last meal.

Anyway, I assumed a pwo shake would still be good after a medium intensity cardio workout as the body will still be begging for food as it would be after resistance exercise?

But i asked if its needed because i havnt a clue really

Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (Big Les)

 Have a read!
http://www.muscletalk.c...rticle-mass-gaining.aspx

and if you arnt having a workout why would you need a pwo shake?
Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (Bluebear)

Big Les

a lot depends on what part of your training cycle you are - but in general terms the only difference I would see would be the absence of a post workout shake.

On a lean bulk at the moment mate. Why no pwo shake?

Cheers
Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (Big Les)

a lot depends on what part of your training cycle you are - but in general terms the only difference I would see would be the absence of a post workout shake.

Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (Bluebear)

loz_86

food intake should remain pretty much the same.. you need the nutrients for growth and recovery

total daily intake is more important than meal timing and frequency.. do whatever works for you

you could have a shake after cardio.. or you could just time it so you have a solid meal after cardio. Thats what i normally do

I usually have a pwo shake and a solid meal 20mins later aswell. My pwo shake contains dextrose, is that needed or does it not matter?

I was thinking it would still be better to get most cals in in the first half of a rest day and around cardio? Isnt that when the body will need them most?
Cheers for reply mate
Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (82porter)

have any of you guys every tried cycling your carbs? i'm interested if anyone has any positive experience with this...

Re:Cardio only and rest days nutrition (loz_86)

food intake should remain pretty much the same.. you need the nutrients for growth and recovery

total daily intake is more important than meal timing and frequency.. do whatever works for you

you could have a shake after cardio.. or you could just time it so you have a solid meal after cardio.
