He might be immune to it all - you've exploded many a time haven't you. Roughly 5 mins after you get a chinese so the dog is used to fireworks

Strange how different dogs react.
My last dog didn't like them.
Current dog does not react in any way. At all.
Maybe he's deaf.

My dog does not seemed fazed. Aslong as he's near a radiator that's switched on he's not bothered.

I'm with the "ignore it" posts - you don't want to omfort and reward your dog when he's doing the wrong thing (ie being sh*tscard of the fireworks).

Its what we've done with our chap, and he's now alright and doesn't appear to care at all about the noises.

I have the feline equivalent (Felliway) for my cats and it seems to work with them.

My Rabbit was doing ok out in the garden but i've brought him indoors and have him sat on the couch with me now while i catch up on some Sky+ (got HD coming Monday so watching all the recorded stuff).

Might just spend the night in front of the tv, light a fire, and spoil him a bit giving him bits of food

Whats his favourite programme?

Fireworks rank amongst the most pointless invention ever.

I sympathise with this view.

If you paired up a fireworks display, Loose Women, and ...Next Top Model i think te world would implode

I watched over an hour long fireworks display in a harbour by our hotel in Sydney at the end of a holiday last year and it was about as impressive as a fireworks display could be - which wasn't really all that. This was right at the end of the summer at the early part of september - they'd got twice the amount of fireworks as usual as the previous display had been called off for bad weather. Despite that it still wasn't the impressive - it's just lights and sparkles after all.

Massive waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. Bah humbug

doesnt bother my dog in the slightest, she just stands and watches them

if the dog is scared mate, ignore it totally. and the noise. If you try comfort the dog or reassure it, what your actually doing is rewarding it being scared and telling it that its the correct reaction.
