(Lex_300)

Creatine is used well for maintenance or on a bulk but as for on a cut then maybe you should opt towards some other forms of recoup and energy such as pre-workout options and then amino's and L-Glutamine for recovery.

Either that or take a lok at your diet and maybe go on a lean gain. That way you can aim for progression and just leaning out over time rather than a short term cut. If you're relatively new to training this would probably be a better option and would just mean extending your time lines.
Re:creatine when cutting? (monster supplements)

good call big jack on the whole bulking cutting point. he said he wants to increase muscle and drop bodyfat percentage. hopefully you meant this chris2009 as this is possible. by increaing lean muscle your bodyfat percentage will drop due to more weight with the same fat mass. although nearly all of the weight gain from creatine is down to intracellular water retention it does actually aid in muscle growth and will not cause any kind of fat increase. so when you come off it the water retention will reduce and you should be left with slight muscle gain and a lower bodyfat percentage. it will be minimal but it will help. in all honesty its mainly down to your diet, trianing and protein supplementation. id ditto everyone else and recommend a cheap monohydrate.

ps. malto means maltodextrin, it is a high GI carb. only really usefule after trianing. not worth considering as it will generally add fat if used at any other time of the day.
Re:creatine when cutting? (bigjack)

Chris2009 - You say your bulking yet trying to reduce bf, why are you doing this? IMO your either bulking, cutting or maintaining, If your not moving forwards your standing still. If you want to bulk up, go on a bulk and gain some size, then cut down and see what you've got. All this talk of loosing bf while bulking will only hamper your gains IMO. Also i wouldnt reccomend creatine while cutting, it can cause water retention which you dont want on a cut.

Re:creatine when cutting? (ragp)

creatine is creatine, jus go for cheap monohydrate from one of the bulk suppliers - board sponsors. you can probably expect muscle fullness some slight stomach bloat perhaps. once its stabilised take you could take the starting weight from there. Mite help you hold to a little more muscle whilst cutting.

creatine when cutting?
