(Stegsie)

My old man was/is the king of "No Money Fun" If he could get away without spending the money, he would.

After watching Blue Peter when I was about 6-7, I decided I wanted to buy some glitter (Think it was about 10p a jar from the local shop)

"I'll make some instead" came the reply from Dad when I asked for the money.

He went to my sandpit (again, what he had made from some old wood and a load of sand we nicked from the local beach), and got a cup full of sand.

He got one of my mums best pans out, and added the sand and a load of food coloring, and put in on the stove to heat up & dry out.

After about an hour, the pan was ruined, the house stunk; and the glitter was just about useless!

Great times though!
Re:Funny things your dad did ?
