There are other forums you can go to indulge your childish side!
Re:Serious business (Giant Roger)

tuc biscuit

Giant Roger

im new here and have come from a land far far away, well a different forum. now one thing i notice is how serious everyone here is. i had a post removed because i said cock in it ffs. what is going on. is all the training stressing everyone out to the point where you cant make a funny post.

i say make a waffle section for threads with no regard for the subject and for people to have a laugh and not take things so seriously, i could see quite a few threads already that would go well in there.

funny posts are welcomed (look at how well mine are received for example)

posts like 'show her your cock' or whatever it was aren't unfortunately

the suggestion of a no-holds barred type forum has been made many times and rejected many times, best just to stick to the slightly more genteel style of posting here on MT as there are so many other forum where you can say and do what you like the choice is there to post on those as well

that was one of my serious posts. i struggle to talk to women so this is what i do. im on the sex offenders register admittedly and have been pepper sprayed 3 times this year but it was genuine advice.

Re:Serious business (Varg)

S777

*i went there the other day and saw a pic that i didnt even have the balls to double take at, a glimpse was enough!

Re:Serious business (john_cappa)

S777

^^^

think youve got that back to front mate, he steals the bad ones!

.........thats what i said

lol
Re:Serious business (CheekyChappie)

I do lurk and occasionally post on another site (which I know Nigeepoo also frequents) which has no moderation, the owner refuses to ban anyone, ever. But it is a forum full of pretty intelligent people so you don't get the childish threads which degenerate into name-calling like on a lot of other forums. Anyone who came along just to post crap would get absolutely hammered by the rest of the members. So the 'anything goes' approach can work but only with certain types of people.
Re:Serious business (S777)

 ^^^

think youve got that back to front mate, he steals the bad ones!

Re:Serious business (john_cappa)

S777

It may at times seem over moderated, but thats better than under moderated

never a truer word said. There are plenty of boards where anything goes so if that tickles your fancy then off you go.

If you want to make a joke here you have to PM James with it first and then at the mods monthly meeting they voted on whether or not the joke is good/bad.

If the joke is good then you are allowed post it but ifs its bad then James usually robs it and passes it off as his own on the forum......

Re:Serious business (Giant Roger)

CheekyChappie

MT wants to appeal to all, and believe it or not, not everyone wants to see constant nob jokes, bad language and pictures of nude women (wel, basically women don't want to see these things!)

what in the name of god is wrong with nob jokes. theres a thread about a tattoed nob and in all honesty i was dissapointed there wasnt pictorial evidence to support the mans claim.

listen mods i'd be the first to admit when im a twat which i am, see i did it then but surely a separate forum for waffle wouldnt be too bad. loadsa forums have em and it keeps mindless, workshy fools like me under control.
Re:Serious business (S777)

the moderation is actually pretty funny at times on here, waiting for tony to pounce on a thread cracks me up at times!

It may at times seem over moderated, but thats better than under moderated, you want that go to 4chan!!!!!

*i went there the other day and saw a pic that i didnt even have the balls to double take at, a glimpse was enough!

Re:Serious business (tuc biscuit)

Giant Roger

im new here and have come from a land far far away, well a different forum. now one thing i notice is how serious everyone here is. i had a post removed because i said cock in it ffs. what is going on. is all the training stressing everyone out to the point where you cant make a funny post.

i say make a waffle section for threads with no regard for the subject and for people to have a laugh and not take things so seriously, i could see quite a few threads already that would go well in there.

funny posts are welcomed (look at how well mine are received for example)

posts like 'show her your cock' or whatever it was aren't unfortunately

the suggestion of a no-holds barred type forum has been made many times and rejected many times, best just to stick to the slightly more genteel style of posting here on MT as there are so many other forum where you can say and do what you like the choice is there to post on those as well

Re:Serious business (CheekyChappie)

MT wants to appeal to all, and believe it or not, not everyone wants to see constant nob jokes, bad language and pictures of nude women (wel, basically women don't want to see these things!)
Re:Serious business (Blue_Lagoon3000)

 Welcome to MT
Re:Serious business (The Guvnor)

 Roger,

Welcome to MT mate.

You should really play by the rules mate.
