I was wondering if anyone could post an update about this?

For the guys and girls who have used the self-administered kits, have you found it works well?

How much are these self-administered kits? (I'm not asking where to buy it cos that is against the rules)

Its interesting that Lipostabil is legal to import and self-administer though (http://www.mhra.gov.uk/home/groups/is-pol/documents/drugsafetymessage/con2018128.pdf)

I would imagine this to be very optimistic.

The lower ab area will require around 30-50 injections

with 0.25-0.5 ml of lipodisolve.

This is dependant on the concentration of the phosphatidylcholine. I understand the normal injection volume to be lower per shot.

similar to the helios i'm using.

lipodesolve is basically a drug injected after a heart attack to clear the veins and arteries of cholesterol - at some point someone missed the vein and "discovered" that it could also "melt" the fat in the area local to the injection. think this was discovered in 1954 or so. if you read thru my thread you'll get a little more info. ninja helios journal

lipodisolve is a cosmetic proceedure costign Â£350 per session with perhaps 4 or 5 sessions to get the required sesults. it's similar to liposuction in it's effect but takes a lot longer to get there. on the midrift for example you would be injected perhaps 8-12 times with 0.25-0.5 ml of lipodisolve. it can take 6 weeks to see the full benefit tho so it's not fast!!! and you will normally get some bruising in the injection points.

my gf's mate has used this on her belly and although she spent Â£700 on it she continued to eat the pies and drink heavy etc (classy chick) and it made no difference at all.

there's a place called sk:n in glasgow, george street that do this as part of their cosmetic surgery line.

This is what the manufacturer/supplier suggests for their products, though I suspect these apply more to mesotherapy than Phosphatidylcholine as results tend to be seen much sooner in the latter:

"Treatments of 25 to 100 injections are generally given once a week over a period of 4 - 10 weeks. Itâ€™s virtually pain-free with no recovery time. Practitioners say most patients see good results within 4 weeks, although some will continue the therapy for up to 10 weeks. As long as clients continue to follow their diet, the results should be permanent."

There are other sites that sell this - but none in the US that I can find. I did not need a script or anything else - just a credit card.

That doesn't necessarily mean you didn't actually need a script.

You need a script for steroids for example to obtain & posess them legally, obviously suppliers are more than happy to sell them without.

The product LipostabilÂ®, also marketed as Flabjabâ„¢, Lipomelt, Lipodissolve and Fat-Away, is being promoted as a cosmetic in the UK and is available for the reduction of fat.

Definition of a medicinal product A relevant â€œmedicinal productâ€ is defined in Article 1 of Directive 2001/83/EC as: â€œAny substance or combination of substances presented for treating or preventing disease in human beings. Any substance or combination of substances which may be administered to human beings with a view to making a medical diagnosis or to restoring, correcting or modifying physiological functions in human beings is likewise considered a medicinal productâ€.

Lipostabil The product LipostabilÂ® is an intravenous preparation of phosphatidycholine and is for the prevention and treatment of blood vessel blockages caused by fat particles (fat embolism). It is indicated as a medication for reducing blood fat (liquid reducer). It is a licensed medicine in some European Member States but not the UK. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has determined that LipostabilÂ® is a relevant medicinal product and subject to the provisions of The Medicines For Human use (Marketing Authorisations Etc) Regulations 1994 as amended (Statutory Instrument 1994/3144). In accordance with section 3(1) of S.I. 1994/3144, no relevant medicinal product shall be placed on the market unless a marketing authorisation (formerly Product Licence) has been granted for it.

Circumstances in which an unlicensed medicinal product may be supplied. In the UK, an unlicensed relevant medicinal product (other than a herbal medicine in respect of which different rules apply) may only be supplied in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 1 to S.I. 1994/3144. This provides amongst other things, that subject to certain conditions, an unlicensed product may be supplied in response to the order of a doctor or dentist, and on his personal responsibility, to meet the clinical needs of an individual patient. The conditions are set out in paragraph 2 of Schedule 1. In very general terms there must be a bona fide unsolicited order. The relevant medicinal product must be formulated in accordance with the requirements of a doctor or dentist registered in the UK for use by his individual patient on his /her responsibility. It must be supplied to a doctor or dentist, or for use in a registered pharmacy, hospital or health centre. The relevant medicinal product must also be manufactured, assembled, imported or distributed by the holder of an authorisation. We would draw attention, in particular, to the fact that the regulations expressly provide that such products cannot be advertised to the general public or included in any catalogue, circular or price list.
