set and rep patterns on dbol only cycle

right im about to start my 6 wekk oral dbol cycle @ 40mg ED. i wanna make the most of it so i wanna get my training as spot on as i can to maximise the effect for mass gains. strength would be nice, but im after mass more than anything at the mo. should i stick with the sort of text book bodybuilding stuff, 4s of 10r-12r, or is it worth going for thing like 5s x 8r? any other suggestions? should i still be doing 12-16 sets per muscle group? whats the best way to train on dbol for gains? thanks to anyone who can help

You will find training on DBol a bit different from what you have been used to, after a couple of weeks the Pumps you get will determine how many sets and reps you can do. Then the Doms will kill you. play it by ear, just make sure you warm up each time tho, your strength will increase considerably, but your tendons will take time to catch up. Enjoy tho.

Iv trained normally, however just increased the weight as i needed it. Just watch out though as DVDman said, tendants will hurt like a b***h after a hash session at the gym. I know some one who damaged their tendants on their elbows as he got too strong, but the tendants didnt gorw as quick as his muscle and thefore required surgery to fix both tendants. My workout reps and sets are usually 8- 12r & 4 sets. And 4-6r & 6s when im going through strength phase.....

chances are the pumps will not let you get beyond 8-10reps. It makes more sense to maximise weight and lessin reps so 6-8sounds better with high weight!

thanks guys, ill aim for somthing around 5s x 6-8r and see what happens. bit concerned about this tendon pain your all mentioning. how bad is it? can it be alleviated with ibuprofen or some other kind of anti-inflamatory drug? how long does it take for the tendons to catch up? also, if the pumps dbol is gonna give me limit me to aroudn 8 reps, am i still gonna be in line for some decent hypertrophy? im keen to add as much mass as i can on this cycle so id rather be doing closer to 12r, is that a definate no go, or do you think i could get away with a lower weight for more reps? thanks again

The pain is all part of training bro' bite the bullit and see it as a trophy for hard training sessions, dropping the weights and upping reps will still get you the pumps, lift heavy while you can, just warm up beforehand as said and stretch after it will help.

cool, i wanna hit 190kg for bench 1rm by the end of this so ill take advantage of the heavy lifting potential and go for something along the lines of 5 x 6-8. 8r will still trigger a fair bit of hypertrophy so i guess thatll be ok. as said before, ill play it by ear, but ill have a general plan ill try and follow as best i can. on the subject of pumps, whats sex like on dbol, any willy issues? no painful erections or anything?

Tendon pain is just something you will get use to, it’s not like its BAD all the time, it gets me when I’m using heavy weights (for example scull crusher and working the triceps) Don’t worry about it, I don’t even take any meds to help with pain, it’s not that bad to even worry about. Just train as you would and increase the weights as you suit once you find it too easy. Most people at the gym have a perception to lift huge weights (I’m stronger than you sort of scenario, I know this as I did it), however just because you can lift huge weights doesn’t necessarily mean you are doing your work out correctly. Saw this guy at the gym thing morning on the cable machines using a V bar doing his triceps, he stacked the weights (100kg?), and was using his back for pumping force, his elbows were pointing out etc, so technically the triceps weren’t even working.... Made me smile. I know it’s your 1st time with the dbol, but seriously, you shouldn’t have to go to extreme on it personally, just eat clean, train hard, lots of sleep and most important of all lots of water. I do that and it’s my 1st time on dbol, on 5th week now, and literally no side effects (apart from one counter of rage lol), I keep my water intake around 4l minimum a day, plenty of fruits throughout the day etc you get the idea. Always give your stomach food to digest, listen to your body, if you feel peckish or a little hungry, eat food, don’t put it off. Good luck.

thanks rushed, thats some good info! i hear what your saying about people wanting to be seen to be lifting more weight than everyone else in the gym, and then doing it wrong and ending up with a rubbish work out. my gym is full of those kind of people, and none of them ever really gat any gains, and then they ask me how i got where i am now. does get irritating after a while. ive got a whole bunch of weight gain powder that im gonna use to keep my calories high enough, if im lacking on normal food. you said youve not had any sides, yet. no need for any nolva? are you doing 30mg ED or 40mg ED? what have you got lined up for pct so far? thanks

Hi Mate, PCT is something i will do, defo... 3 weeks of Nolva (Tamoxaflin or what ever its called) im going to get in touch with my source soon as he/she will advice me what to take and how many mg's. Im doing 40mg a day - i was planning on upping it to 60mg on the 4th & 5th week then down to 40 again on the 6th, however was advised by the guys here just to keep it flat at 40mg as its my 1st cycle. My mate quoted something quite funny to me relating to my views on increasing to 60mg ed, "your supose to take 2 paracetamols, but if you take 4 doesnt mean your headache will go twice as quick" Its true aswel. Any q's mate, let me know, im no real expert, but will tell you honest real 1st time experiences from it all as your in the same boat as me. In the new year im defo contemplating jabs - once a week should be ok and not so in your face lol.

funny how people lift heavy with bad form. i do the opposite, i lift comfortably but with great force, technique and controlled aggression. as far as tamoxifen goes, you really need to use this to maximize keeping the gains you have and getting your body to start producing testosterone naturally again. If you dont run any PCT your just being stupid!

as far as nolva goes on my cycle, im planning a 21 day nolva PCT, 60mg on day 1, then 40mg ED for the next 10 days, then 20mg ED for the next 10 days. so 21 days in total. does that look right for a cycle like mine? im gonna do 40mg ED for 6weeks dbol. im also planning to take nolva if i get gyno symptoms. i though somthing like 40mg day 1, then 20mg ED until symptoms go away, like 4-5 days or so. that right? thanks again rushed, hows your progress going? how much has your bench improved so far? and have you noticed the same gains across squats etc? thanks mate
