hi gals ,
 
basically my girlfriend has been getting really stuck into her training in the last 6 months or so,
 
quick profile,
started @ 10st5lb is now approx 9st 9lb ,
5ft5ins
24 y/o
bf. 17% (down from 25%)
 
 
she tagged along (more so dragged lol ) to a couple of bb comps with me this year and after each show fell more and more in love with the idea of one day being on stage her self competing in a physique catagory ,
 
her training has changed drastically and so have the improvements , but most important her attitude towards training and diet  all for the better ,
 
i have been helping and getting help for her but basically she would like to hear some feed back from the real girls out there who take the big step onto stage who are her inspiration
 
heres the diet ;
 
7.30am 75gms oats 2 hard boiled eggs cup of coffee
10.am   fruit and slender pro protein shake
12.30pm meat(steak or chicken) 100gms plus alot of veg
2.30 pm fruit and yogourt
4.00 pm meat + veg
6.00 train
7.00 protein shake
8.00 meat and veg fruit
10.00 small bowl of oats
 
 
all help /advice as to where she should start or sites etc to look up which are dedicate to this  would be very much so appriciated ??

Hi, great your girlfriend is thinking of competing.  Which federation were the shows you went to?
There is the Natural feds, NPA, BNBF.  The other main fed is the UKBFF.  Best to go with what look she wants to attain, BodyFitness, physique, trained figure, toned figure.
 
Going to shows and seeing what the female competitors look like is a good way to start, gives you an idea of what you should be aiming for.   Also, have a look at the federation sites which say the rules, what compulseries are required for each class, the links are in our competition calendar.

unfortunatly we are not as spoilt for choice in ireland , only ribbf or nabba really over here !!

she wants to go into the physique cat. not so much interested in bodybuilding but a smaller style physique , 

this cat is quite small in numbers ,

what are the usual stats of these competitors ?? i know this could be quite a vague question but if you have a rough idea ??

Depending on her size, and whether she's using anything to enhance her physique, she may find that she's more suited to a trained figure style physique.

frame is quite small everything is natural for now any way we'll see how everything progresses , ill see if she is willing to stick up some pics

You can still do the BNBF shows if you're from Ireland and are unassisted for at least 10 years, not sure if NPA allow.

Kitty does physique in the BNBF, just won her pro card to give your girlfriend an idea of look.  Have a look at photos of recent shows and see which you think would suit her look.  Or if she is happy to,  post a photo up she would get some advice form other girls?  Where you train are there any competitors that could give an opinion?

photos gonna come during the end of the week ,

in relation to hazels last post

there are very few females into any form of serious training around where we live possibly only a small hand full ,

but none of these ladies compete , hence me coming here to ask these questions , very little information availble around reguarding female competitions ,
 again in ireland we are not spilt for choice :(   

ive shown her the pics of kitty she was very impressed ,

kitty have you a link to your average day training diet etc (i understand every one is different etc but just for some insight) would be awesome thank you ,

Not really average at the moment as I'm 4 weeks out from a show. You could skim through my old journal but it's 260+ pages long, my new journal link is in my signature and on page one of that is a link to my old one that I've recently locked.

But roughly I train day on day off, CV will vary depending on how far out from a comp. I do a 4 day split so each bodypart is trained every 8 days. My split looks like this

1) Legs
2) Shoulders and triceps
3) back
4) chest and biceps

Diet wise again it can vary but basically I eat 6 times a day, usually porridge or egg white with oats for brekkie and supper, the other 4 meals will consist of rice or potato/sweet potato with veg and protein will be either chicken/turkey/fish. Portions will vary again depending on comp.
