Just wondered what supplements you fighters take? im ususally take whey protein from bulk powders, fish oil tablets and glucoasamine! was thinking about taking an all in cyclone type thing just to give me a lil boast leading upto my fight! what else is good! basically im trying to maintain my weight but want to improve strength and condidtioning.

No different to bodybuilding really. Pretty much same supps are used from what Ive read on different forums, also from what the lads in the gym use.
Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.

I wouldn't really call myself a 'fighter' but I just take the normal stuff; fish oil tab's, multivit', vitamin D, protein shakes. Obviously real food is where your focus should be. With a proper diet, MMA will take care of itself.

Stay away from anything with Creatine in it because bloats you with needless water. We talking naughty supps as well or OTC?

To be totally honest mate i find creatine the most overrated supp on the planet cant think of any use for it. Most effective things I have found have been good food, cod liver oil, glucosamine and as much water and protein as you can fit in.

Is whey useful for someone only doing boxing and swimming for training? I've been off the weights for a while and haven't touched any whey, the stuff from myprotein wasn't kind too my stomach either.

If your diet doesn't contain enough protein mate, then protein powder is very useful yes.

I've only found creatine useful when using it in the stupidly priced cyclone. I would love some of the chocolate mint cyclone that's always advertised in this section, but unless I win a big bet at the bookies I won't be paying the exorbitant price. If you've found cyclone replica products useful in the past, or want to pay for the real cyclone than I would say use them. I don't use anything other whey and cod liver oil. And some bottles of viper just now as they were going cheap in my work. Maybe you should consider smarter training methods that suit the..ahem... more mature fighter now lol?

Recently started taking 'Redmist' before training, seems to give me a bit of a kick. (no pun intended)
