switching up reps/weight

Does this help? For example on bench im doing 5x5 which I have been doing for a while now, if i switched to something like 3x15, would i build muscle more as I'm switching it up? Do kinda feel im stuck at the same weight for 5x5 now. cheers

Do kinda feel im stuck at the same weight for 5x5 now. cheers Not entirely sure whether you have listed reps/sets or sets/reps above because people tend to write them out differently, however: 1-5 reps is considered the strength range 8-12 reps are used for hypertrophy 12+ (that sort of area) are generally used for endurance purposes You'd do better to swap to either an 8 rep or 10 rep based set than a 15 rep set, if you're after hypertrophy; that's not to say that other rep ranges don't give some degree of hypertrophy, because there is always a percentage of crossover within the varying ranges, but 8-10 reps appears to give more bang for buck where hypertrophy is concerned.

If you've plateaued then you need to manipulate intensity and/or volume. I'd be inclined to increase reps for a while then come back to your 5x5. Your rep volume at the moment is obviously 25 reps, so 4x8 (32) or 3x10 (30) would be a reasonable adjustment.

weights every other day and do some type crossfit style circuit cardio on non weight training day every 5th day. So 3 days on 1 off. -weights -cardio -weights -off REPEAT
